Description
Dynamic Style and Protection. Protection, Function, and style are what you get when you equip your Silverado 1500 with this Aeroskin LightShield Color-Match Hood Protector in Summit White. This hood protector is designed to match the contours of the leading edge. This design, when combined with its OE style Summit White colorway, makes it the perfect choice for similarly finished trucks. Likewise, its resilient Dura-Flex 200 construction makes it more than capable of protecting your hood area from scratches and dings due to flying debris.
Included LED Light Strip for Improved Front End Conspicuity. What sets this Aeroskin LightShield apart from other hood protectors is the included LED light strip. This light strip is designed to fit into a recessed section on the hood protector and is equipped with five vivid amber-colored LED marker lights. These lights make your front end more visible to other motorists, helping increase road safety.
Resilient Build Quality. This hood protector is constructed from Dura-Flex 200 material with is a specially formulated thermoplastic olefin that’s highly resistant to impacts and deterioration. Additionally, this hood guard is made to exact specifications using a high-tech injection-molding process, giving you a factory fit and finish. Finally, this protector is available in an OE style Summit White colorway.
Easy Install Procedure. This hood protector and included LED light strip comes preinstalled with 3M automotive-grade double-sided adhesive tape backing, making installation an easy peel-and-stick process. Before installation, you will need to attach the light strip to the dedicated recessed section on the hood protector. You will also need to perform minor wiring work to properly connect the light strip to your truck’s electrical system. It is also advisable that you clean and dry your hood before wiping it down with a clean rag moistened with alcohol or acetone. This is to ensure the complete adhesion of the tape to the mounting surfaces.
Application. This Aeroskin LightShield Color-Match Hood Protector in Summit White fits all 2016 to 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 models.
Application Notes. Please do not drive your vehicle for 24 hours, and do not wash for 72 hours after the installation of this hood protector. This is to allow the adhesive to completely set.
