This hood guard is more than just good-looking as its tough Dura-Flex 200 construction provides your hood with outstanding scratch and ding protection caused by flying debris.
Included LED Light Strip for Boosted Front End Conspicuity. Besides offering an eye-catching new style, this Aeroskin LightShield will also boost the conspicuity of your truck’s front end courtesy of the included LED light strip. This light strip is designed to attach onto a dedicated slot on the protector and is equipped with five LED chips capable of producing bright amber light. This light strip when activated can be really useful, especially during emergency roadside stops.
Tough Build Quality. This hood protector is built tough from Dura-Flex 200 material with is a novel impact-resistant thermoplastic olefin. Furthermore, this material is injection-molded to computer-generated measurements, ensuring a factory fit. Lastly, this protector is available in an OE-grade Graphite Metallic colorway, giving your front end an impressive style.
No Nonsense Install Procedure. This hood protector and included LED light strip comes preinstalled with a 3M automotive-grade double-sided adhesive tape backing, making installation a no-nonsense peel-and-stick procedure. That said, you will need to mount the light strip into the recessed section of the hood protector before installation. Minor wiring work is also needed to properly attach the lights to your electrical system. Moreover, it is advised that you first thoroughly clean and dry your hood before wiping it down with a clean rag moistened with alcohol or acetone. This is to maximize the adhesion of the tape with the mounting surfaces.
Application. This Aeroskin LightShield Color-Match Hood Protector with a Graphite Metallic Colorway fits all 2016 to 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 models.
