Description
Increase Power And Performance. It doesn't matter if your Silverado is a daily driver or a dedicated work truck an increase in horsepower and torque is always a plus. You can add the extra power you crave by simply installing a S&B Cold Air Intake with Dry Extendable Filter. The S&B Cold Air Intake replaces the restrictive stock air box and paper filter element with a custom enclosed air box and a free flowing oiled filter assembly for an 41% improvement in airflow.
No Tune Required. S&B engineered their Cold Air Intake to improve the performance of your Silverado without the need of reprogramming your computer. By utilizing flow dynamics, this Intake will increase power using the original factory tune. Even though a re-tune is not required for operation, AmericanTrucks recommends a custom tune to reprogram the vehicles computer (ECU) to get the best possible performance from this Cold Air Intake.
Dry Extendable Air Filter. The included high flow air filter effectively filters out power robbing particles with its multi layer design. Seeing that the filter is reusable there is no need to buy a new filter every few thousand miles. You can just clean the filter with compressed air and reinstall - saving yourself money in the long haul. This filter can last up to 30,000 miles of highway use.
Enclosed Air Box Design. Featuring a fully enclosed air box that protects the filter from dirt and keeps out excessive engine heat, this S&B air box far outflows the factory box. One of the cooler features of the S&B air box is the snap-in lid with window. This window not only adds eye catching appeal, but makes it easy to check your filters condition with just a glance.
