A real head turner
Product painetd up real nice. The body shop that installed it said it was real easy to paint and install. One of the mechanics that work there liked it so much he said he was going to order him one. It really looks good, it’s a head turner.

Very happy, this hood looks sick!
Its fiberglass so paint guy had to do some extra work on to get it to turn out but looks good. Paid 500 for paint and mounting but they know what their doing. Would do it again.

Mean
The hood came unpainted and primered, got it color matched lead foot and went on easy. Had to drill holes for the guards and attach the hinges form old hood. Install was quick and easy. Love the look and added about 200 horse power !!

Ended well
The food arrived on time and the damage. We did a test fit at the shop prior to painting. The fit was just ok at best. It required a lot, and I mean a lot of prep work prior to painting. So, expect a larger bill due to the amount of time it takes to pre. One of the mounting points at the hinge needed to be re-drilled. They are slid Adjustable but still hit the windshield wiper cell. There were also tiny pits in the gelcoat. They had to be filled. Having said all that, once it was fixed, painted and installed, I love it. I’ll try to include some pictures

Love it!
Looks great. Really love the look and how it helps to the trucks aggresive look. A little pain getting it lined up. I dont know if its mentioned, but you need a 5/16th drill bit for the bump stops and a 3/16 drill bit for the rubber seals to install them.

Unfortunately it does not fit my truck after confirming with company that it does. I am in the process of returning this item and so far American Muscle has been supportive. I'll include photos so those of you considering purchasing this hood can think twice...

Peace of junk
Bought this from American Muscle, within 30 days of painting, mounting et. Hood now has 3 large cracks in it, maker RK Sport inc. won't take even take responsible for hood, I'm out $1400.00 after paint etc. Don't Buy this hood!!!!

Q: WHAT KIND OF HEAT PROTECTION DO I NEED FOR THIS HOOD? WILL STOCK FIT? OR DO I NEED A SPECIFIC INSULATION PIECE?
A: The RK sport hood would not require the hood insulation and would not be compatible with the stock hood insulation as the fitment would be off.
Q: Does this hood work with an aftermarket cold air intake? I just recently installed the K N Series 57 FIPK cold air intake on my rig and noticed that the heat shield is formed to the curves of the hood. Will this heat shield work with the curves of this hood as well? I was also wondering if any water or dirt could get into the cold air intake and cause damage or issues because of the ram air intake running straight to it.
A: Yes, this hood would work even if you have a cold air intake. You also wouldn't have any issues with dirt or water getting into the hood.
