Description
Rediscover Lost Performance. Increased tire diameter following an upgrade can increase your Silverado's final drive ratio, causing slower acceleration and "hunting" between gears while at highway speed. Built to Win. Richmond leverages generations of racing experience with the technology in this gear set. All steel is first-run, with no risks from recycled material. Heat-treating is carefully applied to achieve high strength and resiliency. Meets or exceeds GM factory specifications.
Installation. Install requires mechanical skill and a good set of tools. Allow two hours for install, including fluid replacement. Richmond advises that this ring and pinion set requires cross pin model 836-80-0272-1, sold separately.

as soon as i pulled my truck out of the shop door and got on the road, i notice a huge torque difference, which is exactly what i was wanting. these gear did just that and im thankful that i bought them from here with their fast and easy shipping. definitely recommending these 4.10s.

SUPER 8.8 GEAR SWAP
I PURCHASED A SET OF 4.09 RICHMOND GEARS FROM AMERICAN TRUCKS AND SWAPPED OUT MY FACTOY 3.55's. SHIPPING WAS ON TIME. GEARS LOOKED TO BE OF VERY GOOD QUALITY AND FIT WITH NO MODIFICATIONS ASIDE FROM THE NORMAL THINGS YOU HAVE TO DO DURING RING&PINION SET UP. AS FAR AS LOW END POWER GAIN THIS WAS WELL WORTH THE MONEY. JUST BE CAREFUL AND PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR DOWN SHIFT UNTIL YOU GET USED TO IT. WHEN MY TRUCK DOWNSHIFTS HARD IT WILL BREAK THE TIRES LOOSE ESPECIALLY ON WET ROADS. IF THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH YOUR TRUCK I SUGGEST YOU TAKE SOME POWER OUT OF IT BUT IN MOST CASES PEOPLE CHANGE GEARS TO ADJUST FOR TIRE SIZE, IN THAT CASE YOU SHOULD BE OK. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Don't fear the gear*
My f150 screw had a 3.31 gear ratio, after a 6in lift & 35s, I disliked the downshifts on the highway to include the 10mpg I was getting... Upon swapping to 4.56's, I noticed nicer takeoffs, little to No downshifts on highway (@65mph), plus a 2 to 2.5mpg increase on highway, I am extremely satisfied w/ the 4.56's... no tune had been done to my truck***

Requires a conversion bearing kit
No where in the description was there any mention of a conversion bearing kit. This kit does not fit 2011 F150s without the bearing kit, which costs an additional $315.

No go, 2018 F150
So I tore my rearend down, had the diff carrier on the ground about to remove the ring gear when I realized the 9.75 was too big for my rearend. Apparently Ford has a super 8.8 rearend now. I’ve since changed the ratio with the correct size from another company who assisted in me in finding this info. But the return department did an awesome job on helping me send the ring and pinion back
