Jake: Jake here for American Trucks, and today I'm taking a look at the RedRock Baja Upper Replacement Grille in charcoal with LED lighting, fitting 2021 and newer F-150s, excluding Raptor and Tremor models. If you're looking to bring a little bit of that aggressive, off-roady type style to your F-150, then this Baja replacement grille from RedRock is gonna be just your speed. This is an easy way to change up the look of the front end of your truck, bring some additional lighting, and some aggression, even a bit of that Raptor-style flavor to your own truck all for an affordable price tag. Now, I'm a fan of the styling on the latest gen F-150, but if you're looking for that extra little something for your truck, then this grille from RedRock is probably gonna appeal to you. As you can see, it features this big open honeycomb design, reminiscent of Ford's own Raptor, or a truck you might find pulling off jumps out in the desert. You've also got these three amber LED lights right here at the top of the grille to add to that signature off-road look of the front end, and they integrate with your daytime running lights for seamless functionality. Now, this is a bolt-in replacement for your stock grille too, so you can just put this right in without having to modify anything on the truck itself. It uses all of your factory mounting points here. And if you're going for that blacked-out, no-chrome type of theme, then this is gonna look right at home on your truck as well. As you've no doubt noticed by now, this does remove the front emblem, so you're not gonna get the big blue oval on the front anymore. But that just opens up the grille a little bit, it makes for a little bit of additional airflow into the engine bay as well, so you get some function to go with your Form 2.Now, this one, in particular, is a darker charcoal type of gray color, so this is gonna complement most any paint color well, and it matches the color of the rest of your exterior plastics pretty closely too. So, if you wanna go for that cohesive matching look to go along with the additional aggression this is gonna bring to your truck style, this is gonna be just what you're looking for. Also, worth noting here that this does include a provision to integrate your front camera should your truck be so equipped. So, you've got this little bracket right here where your front camera is gonna mount, and that can just go right into the grille as well, so no need to worry about sacrificing functionality there if your truck is, in fact, equipped with a front camera. The grille is constructed from high-quality ABS plastic, so this is strong, it's lightweight, and it's durable. And again, you've got that charcoal finish that comes just like it sits right now out of the box, so it's ready to mount. This does have a nice texture to it as well, so if you like this, mount it right up and be on your way. But since it is ABS plastic, you've also got the option to paint this rather easily should you wanna color-match it or change it up later on down the line. Now, the LEDs here are all weather sealed against the elements, so they're gonna keep out dirt and moisture, and because they are LEDs, you're not gonna have to worry about changing them out. They're gonna have a nice long lifespan too. This was designed using OEM CAD data from Ford themselves too, so this is gonna fit right in place of your stock grille. It's gonna have a nice fitment, and it's gonna look just right.Coming in at about $200, this is pretty much the most affordable replacement grille on the market, especially one that includes LED lighting. And with the inclusion of that lighting, there is no denying that this is a good value. Now, our customers seem to agree too, this grille and the variations of different colors of it have been very popular and very highly rated on our site, so be sure to check out what some others have said while you're out there shopping.Installation is gonna get a one out of three on our difficulty meter, and you should plan on spending about two hours to get this completed. Now, this is definitely something a DIYer can handle at home, and it comes with everything you need right out of the box. Now, you are gonna have to do a little bit of wiring, really just running power and ground for these LED lights. The connectors come ready to go both on the harness side and on the side of the grille too. So, as you can see, these are already done. You run power and ground, plug them in, and you're pretty much set to go. And again, this uses all of your factory mounting points as well, so there's no need to modify anything on the truck either. But enough talking about it. With that, let's go ahead and jump over to the install bay, and we'll show you exactly what's involved.Man: The tools required for this install include a ratchet, wire strippers and crimpers, clip remover tool, an extension, 7, 8, 10, and 14-millimeter socket, a couple T-taps, a couple male spades, and a couple microfiber towels. What's up, guys? Today, we're installing a grille on our F-150, so let's get started. So, our first step is to pop the hood and remove all of the push clips holding in our upper rad cover. So, we'll grab a clip remover tool to pop all of these out. Now, there's one hidden over here on the other side. And with all of our clips removed, we can pull our cover out of the way.Next, we can remove all of our connectors at the center of the grille, as well as our four 10-millimeter bolts that hold our grille in. So, we'll grab that clip tool again to pop this clip out. And then we can press in on the tab and pull up for that connector. Same thing with that one. Now, for this, we have an oval shape that we can pinch into a circle. Pop this one off. And then we'll grab our 10-millimeter socket to remove our bolts. Next, we can come down into our wheel well and we're gonna have to remove our two seven-millimeter screws that hold in our lower trim piece. We'll grab a seven-millimeter socket to get these out.Now we can pull back on the corners of our lower trim piece to pop out the clips and then remove it. So, next we can come down to the lower corner of our grille and we have an eight-millimeter bolt that we need to remove. However, for our new grille, we're gonna have to remove our headlight to be able to wire it up. So, we have another 8-millimeter bolt for our headlight here, as well as a 10-millimeter nut back here. So, while we're down here, we're just gonna remove those two additional pieces. So, we'll grab an 8-millimeter socket for our first two bolts. And then we can switch to a 10-millimeter socket for our nut. So, now we can grab our grille and pull straight back on it to remove it.Now, with our grille removed, we can come back up to the top of our headlight and remove our two 10-millimeter bolts and our push clip. So, we'll grab that 10-millimeter socket to take these out. And we'll grab our clip remover tool for our push clip. So, now we have our grille removed from the truck, we're gonna need to remove our shutter assembly from the grille. So, the first thing we're gonna do is pop out all of our push clips up along the top of the grille. So, I'll grab a clip remover tool to pop these up.Next, we can remove all of the hardware from our shutter assembly. So, we have an 8-millimeter bolt right in the center, and then we have four 10-millimeter nuts around the outside. So, we'll grab an 8-millimeter socket to get that middle one out. Then we can switch to our 10-millimeter socket to get our 4 nuts. Next, we can come to the bottom of our grille and remove our 12 push clips that hold in this lower cover. So, we'll get our clip remover tool, pop these out. And now with our cover removed, it will give us access to our three clips that we need to press in to remove our shutter assembly. So, I'm just gonna take our clip remover tool, since we have it handy. And then with those clips popped out, we can remove our shutter assembly.Next, we can do the wiring for our pod lights. So, we'll take our harness and plug in all of our connectors. And now, since we removed the bolts for our driver-side headlight, we're gonna be running our wires towards the driver-side. So, I'm just gonna route everything over this way. So, now the way we're gonna wire this up is by using male spades and T-taps. So, the way the T-tap works is it has a little fork that you put the wire in between. And then once you close this up, it'll cut through the outer portion of the wire to make the connection. And then on our two wires here, we'll be crimping male spades on, and that'll just slide into the T-tab there to make the connection for us.So, we'll take a pair of wire strippers and strip back some lead on each of our wires. And then we can twist up that lead, slide one of our spade connectors over the wire, and then use wire crimpers to crimp it down. Now we'll do the same thing for the other one. So, now we can lay our shutter assembly down onto our new grille. And we can push in all the clips at the bottom. And then we're gonna be installing our bolts and washers into the U-clips in our grille. And then we can take a 14-millimeter socket to tighten these down.Next, we can reinstall our lower cover. So, we'll line up all of our push clips and push those back into place. Next, we can install our clips onto our two posts on each side. So, we'll just line these up and press them down. And then we'll do that same thing on the other side. Next, we can reinstall our five push clips at the top of the grille. So, now we can connect the wiring for our grille into our headlight. So, to do this, we can pull back on our headlight to pop it out of place. Now, as I mentioned earlier, we already have T-taps on our daytime running light. But if this is your first time installing them, you can just follow the directions that I laid out when we were on the table. Now, the blue wire is gonna be our power. So, we'll plug our red into that. And then this black wire with the yellow stripe is our ground. So, we'll plug that in. And then we can reinstall our headlight. And then we'll grab our push clip, put that back in up top, and thread in our two 10-millimeter bolts. And then we can grab our 10-millimeter socket to tighten these down. So, now we can line up our grille and push it into place. So, now we can reconnect the connector for our shutter assembly and reinstall our four 10-millimeter bolts at the top of our grille. And then we'll tighten those down with our 10-millimeter socket. Next, we can reinstall our radiator cover. So, we'll lift up on our intake tube, put that underneath. And then we can reinstall all of our push clips up top. Now, we can reinstall our two bolts, the one that holds the grille and the one that holds the headlight. We'll tighten those down with an 8-millimeter socket, and then we can switch to our 10-millimeter socket to get our nut onto our stud. And then we can do the same thing for the lower grille bolt on the other side. Next, we can reinstall our lower trim. Now, finally, we can reinstall our two screws in our lower trim piece. And we'll tighten those down with a seven-millimeter socket. And then we'll do that same thing on the other side. So, that'll wrap up this review and install of the RedRock Baja Upper Replacement Grille with LED lighting in charcoal for your 2021 and newer F-150, excluding the Raptor and Tremor. Thank you for watching. And for all things F-150, keep it right here at americantrucks.com.

Restock upper grille with LED
Love the look of this replacement grille on my 2022 F-150. The addition of LEDs on the front really added to the look of my truck. Very happy with this product and price.

Review shared from RedRock Upper Replacement Grille with DRL (21-23 F-150, Excluding Raptor & Tremor)
Looks great!
I chose to wait until an open box version of this grill was on sale. The grill looks really good, so much better than the stock XLT grill and really makes the fromt end pop and look good. The plastic is a little thin and flexible so we'll see how we'll it hold up over time. Mine did have a slight part of the white light that's dim but I did buy open box so I'm sure it's not a quality control issue. Even with that the white light looks so good with the DRLs and the install wasn't difficult. I chose not to splice it into my headlight wiring though since I did not want to permanently have wiring hooked to my headlights and opted for a fuse tap instead to power it off the headlight fuse in the engine bay. Overall, great looking grill and highly recommend. Took about 3 hours for me.

Review shared from RedRock Honeycomb Replacement Grille with LED DRL; Matte Black (21-23 F-150, Excluding Raptor & Tremor)
Way better looking than xlt
Man I really disliked the look of the xlt grill and had to get this right away. Install is tedious but not hard, and it is worth mentioning that you won't have a spot for the front camera anymore, I zip tied it to the grill, it's not perfect but good enough for me. Oh definitely get a a fender washer puller (the tool made to remove the black plastic clips) you're going to be removing sooooo many to install this and you need to reinstall them afterwards, so just using a flathead could ruin them, scratch your truck, or fling them into the void. I bought the tool before installing for a few bucks at harbor freight

Fit well
I like the fitment and the appearance. Seems to be of fairly good quality for the price. Not quite as sturdy as the factory grill. I purchased the grill because of the appearance and the fact that I could re-use the factory Ford emblem. The fixture they provide to mount the Ford emblem on is kind of poorly made. Sticks out way too far and not designed well at all. For right now just running with the badge shaved. I will try to come up with a better way to mount this in the future. Overall it is the look I was going for and I'm fairly happy.

Review shared from RedRock Armor Upper Replacement Grille with LED Off-Road Lighting (21-23 F-150, Excluding Raptor)
Good value for the money, janky wiring.
Install was not too difficult and unlike others both the amber and white LED strips work fine for me. I did not like that I had to use scotchlok connectors to wire into the headlight harness rather than getting a separate harness but it's a good value for the money. Looks great once installed.

Great grille while it works
Great looking grille, lasted close to a year and then half of the white LED went out. The amber lights still work. Checked fuse, LED just went bad. They offered no replacement.

Fits great
I love how the grille makes the front end look sharp but preserves some of that OME look. My only grievance with the product is that the the function of the amber lights does not work.

Looks great!
Tough install but worth it, only thing is I wish the light bar was a bit brighter to match the headlights but I love it.
