Jake: Jake here for AmericanTrucks. And in this video, we're taking a look at the Raxiom LED projector headlights with black housings and clear lenses, fitting 2007-2013 Silverado 1500s. If the headlights on your Silverado are looking a bit tired, or if you're on the hunt for an upgraded aesthetic and lighting output, these are going to be an excellent choice that's sure to freshen up your truck. It's important not to skip over lighting upgrades when modifying your truck, and going with a new set of headlights can do a whole lot to freshen up the look and functionality. Raxiom clearly took some inspiration from the latest generation of Silverado with these lights, and they really do a lot to update the look of these trucks. Now, these are a fully LED setup, so you don't have any incandescent bulbs to worry about at all. At the top, you've got these three projector lenses that cast a bright, wide beam of light out onto the road in front of you, much brighter than your factory halogens. These also include LED daytime running lights with a big strip on the bottom here, as well as the horseshoe-shaped one over on the side. Now, these also feature sequential turn signals, which I've always thought are just kind of cool. However, if that's not your speed, you can have them function just like regular turn signals. Now, those are all LEDs too, of course, meaning that no matter the conditions, you'll be able to see and be seen with ease. But perhaps the best part here is that these lights are also DOT and SAE-approved, and that means you've got adjusters on the back to ensure that you can get them aimed properly as well. The lights are constructed from high-strength OEM-grade ABS plastic for the housings with polycarbonate lenses on the outside. Of course, they're also weather-sealed to keep out dirt and moisture, making them durable for the long haul. And since these are a fully LED setup, again, there's no need to worry about having to change out burnt bulbs, as these are designed to last a lifetime of the lights. And like we were just talking about as well, you've got those integrated adjusters in the back here too, keeping them fully street legal.Pricing is gonna come in at about $1,500, which does place them in the upper end of the category when it comes to full light upgrades. But you're getting high-quality construction, again, a fully LED setup, and a really cool new updated look. So, if you're on the hunt for an update and really wanna shell out for a good set of headlights, these should be on your list. Installation is going to come in at a 2 out of 3 on our difficulty meter and should take you about 2 hours to complete the job. Reason for that 2 out of 3 is that you do have to run a little bit of wiring in order to get the sequential turn signals functioning properly. However, it's really not all that much, and we'll show you how to do it in the next part of the video. So, with that, why don't we go ahead and jump on out to the install bay and we'll walk you through the process.Man: The tools you'll need for this project are a ratchet, a 10-millimeter socket, a panel removal tool, a pair of needle-nose pliers, a pair of wire cutters, and you'll also need to source some zip ties. Hi, everyone. Today, we're installing a set of headlights on our Silverado, but first, let's watch a short video on how to uninstall the stock headlights first.Woman: Okay. So, the first step in our uninstall is to grab a pop clip removal tool and remove all the pop clips that hold in our rad support cover. At this point, we can remove the rad support cover. All right. So, the next step is to remove the four 10-millimeter bolts holding on our grille. Go ahead and grab a 10-millimeter socket and get these removed. All right. At this point, with the bolts removed out of the top of our grille, you can grab the grille itself and pull back straight towards you. Next up, now that our grille is removed, we can remove the two bolts holding on the top of our headlight. You may want an extension for this one here, so grab your extension and a 10-millimeter socket, and let's get this removed. And then, grab your 10-millimeter socket and remove the other bolt up top on the headlight. All right. So, there is one more bolt that's holding the headlight in and it's right in between the bumper and the fender. Peel back your wheel well liner, and you can get to this bolt. It's a 10-mil, it's right in here. And you don't need to remove this, all you need to do is loosen it so the bracket can slide forward. Grab your 10-millimeter ratcheting wrench or a small ratchet and go ahead and loosen this up. All right. Now that all the bolts are removed and the one in the wheel well is loosened up, go ahead and grab your headlight and wiggle it out. Now that your headlight is removed, you can see this large factory connector. And what we're gonna do is pull back on this tab, this gray tab here. and then press down on the black tab and remove the connector.Man: First thing we're going to want to do before we install our lights is run the harness for our DRLs. Now to do this, we're going to run it across the front of the truck to the passenger side light, and then we'll run another light wire for the driver side. And then, we're also going to have to plug the fuse tap in to the fuse box underneath the hood. So, let's go ahead and get that started. So, we're going to go ahead and run the passenger side here along the bottom of the radiator across the front. You want to make sure that you keep this away from any moving parts or any extreme heat sources or anything like that that could possibly damage it. So, we're just gonna feed it through, alongside the bottom of the radiator here, and then along the front, and then we'll feed it up here to the harness connector on the other side. Now, you can go ahead and use some zip ties to zip this up to the current harness that's already there. I wouldn't tighten them down just yet just to make sure that we got plenty of movement in there. We're just going to put a couple of zip ties in here loosely for right now, just to kind of hold it up while we finish up the rest of the install. All right. Now, we'll go ahead and plug in our fuse tap to our fuse box. So, just lift up on the cover. Let's slide that out of the way. Now, the fuse that we're going to be using is fuse number 43, which is over here on the right side as you're facing the fuse panel from the driver's side. It's the second 10-amp fuse in the second row here. So, we're just going to use our needle-nose pliers and pull that out. Now, you should have two fuses included in the fuse tap when it comes in. If it doesn't, you can go ahead and reinsert the fuse that you just pulled out. So, we're gonna go ahead and plug that in, and then we can put our cover back on. Now, we can go ahead and install our lights. So, now, we'll plug in our factory harness to our light connector, make sure it snaps in. And then, the DRL harness has got a plug on the lights here. So, we'll just plug that in. Now, we'll slide the spring clip on the light connector over this plastic stud here and just hold it in place. Now, we can go ahead and install our light. And we'll go ahead and secure that with the original hardware, and we'll tighten them down with our 10-millimeter socket. Now, remember to also tighten down the bolt at the bottom on the side over here between the fender and the bumper, and then you can repeat that whole process for the other side. Now, we go ahead and tie up our zip ties and clip the excess ends off of them, just making sure, of course, like I said, they're not near any moving parts or any extreme heat sources. Now, we'll go ahead and install our grill. And we'll secure it using the original hardware and tighten them down with our 10-millimeter socket. And finally, we'll reinstall our radiator cover. And we'll secure that using the original push pins that we took out. And that wraps up our review and install of the Raxiom LED projector headlights with the black housing and clear lens for your '07-'13 Silverado 1500. Thanks for watching, and remember, for all things Silverado, keep it right here at americantrucks.com.

Extremely Surpasses The Performance Of The OEM Headlights
The light output and functionality of the Raxiom Axial Series LED Projector Headlights with Sequential LED Bar, Black Housing, and Clear Lens highly exceeded my expectations. These particular headlights are highly recommended and well worth the current price. Be sure and watch the video on the headlights, it will confirm the remarks stated.

Great headlights
Got these in December of 2024, had to wait until it warmed up before installing, man what a difference, these lights are bright and I can see the road lines without using my fog lights. The style and the way they look at night is awesome. I do have an intermittent hyper flashing on the turn signal indicator inside the truck, but the lights themselves blink normal.

Raxiom CXR Series LED Headlights
Purchased the raxiom cxr led headlights and i am very pleased with the product so far. Installation is easy. Took about 2hr to install. And if you have to adjust the headlight hight, the adjusters are easily accessible after the headlights are installed. Now to see how long they last.

New headlights!!!!
They look amazing. I would say they are decently difficult to put in if you have done any previous mods. You have to use the fuse box which is a little bit of an hassle but very excited I did this to my truck!

Raxiom LED w/ Projector Lights
LED switchbacks look really good! Bright Ambers and White LED on top and bottom. Of course the Projectors are regular halogen and will need to be upgraded but I read the reviews and knew that going in. Going to do some research and get some good bulbs and see what happens!! Install was smooth but I had some broken connectors and my lights were hardwired in from previous owners I'm guessing. But otherwise install time would have been a breeze, 30min tops

I Can See The Road Now
I just wanted to share my experience with the product I recently installed in my driveway. It was very easy for anyone to set up in both the driveway or garage. I didn't encounter any issues with popping the grill out or installing it back in after the headlights were installed. There seem to be some comments about needing to drop the bumper for the installation, but I can confirm that this is not necessary. Overall, I'm really satisfied with the product so far.

Good looking lights
They look great and work well but the bulbs aren’t LED and that was disappointing. Otherwise nice lights
