E-Coat Finish. E-coat is an electronically charged coating that is similar to powdercoat, however the side steps go through a double dip process for long lasting looks and durability. The side steps are dipped in a pre-treatment Zinc Phosphate cleaner, then goes through an electro coat bath. The bath helps remove impurities and covers the side steps in a phosphate finish. Then the tube is basked in oven until the finish is cured, and the end result is a shiny black step that will give your truck a superior look.
