CURT towed-vehicle RV harnesses are a vehicle-specific, plug-and-play solution to wiring your vehicle for dinghy towing. They use original-equipment-compatible connectors to plug into your vehicle's wiring system without any cutting, splicing or soldering required. They provide a standard 4-way flat connector to plug into the RV socket and synchronize the vehicle's tail lights, turn signals and brake lights with the RV's. Because each towed-vehicle RV harness has a vehicle-specific design, installation is fast and easy. This particular RV dinghy towing wiring harness is designed for specific years of the Ram 2500 and 3500. CURT RV harnesses are also built to provide long-lasting operation. They feature integrated block diodes that protect the vehicle's circuits from the RV signals. They isolate the sensitive vehicle electronics, keeping them from overheating and short circuiting. Every CURT towed-vehicle RV harness comes ready to install with all necessary hardware included. They also come with a 4-way flat extension to provide plenty of length to plug into the RV socket, as well as a connector mounting bracket to mount the connector on the vehicle.

      Excellent wiring harness, made hook up a pleasure, no cutting the tail light wires, made life easy for my towed vehicle and me!

      Easy to install but a couple quirks

      Love the plug & play make possible by the male & female OEM connectors which means no need to cut & splice your factory taillight harness. But - wire length to reach the front of a 6'4" crew cab Ram 1500 is about 4' short, even with shortest run. Had to cut & solder their supplied RV-to-truck pigtail to lengthen the supplied connector-to-front of vehicle harness. Also - the factory Ram connectors, even with the red lock tab pulled to the disengage position still lost their locking ability. Secured the OEM connector to this harness with strong tape & zip ties to prevent pulling free. Overall a great product. Would give it 5 stars if the harness had another 4-5' of length. Definitely too short for a crew cab, even with the 5' bed.
