1. Begin by placing the vehicle on a lift or four jack stands at their maximum height. To help your installation, it is best to pre-fit all the components into a complete system on your garage floor using the diagram provided.
2. Remove the existing system by unbolting the mid-pipe from it's flange. Remove the mid-pipe, muffler and tailpipe from their rubber isolators and the entire system can be removed as one piece. Depending on your working conditions you may need to make cuts to remove the system. Make sure you retain the rubber isolators because they will be reused.
3. Begin your installation by reinstalling the factory rubber isolators to the same locations they were taken from during disassembly.
4. Next, assemble the MVR400 muffler and the TTD01 OF front tail pipe using the HVC76 muffler hanger followed by the TTD033R rear tail pipe and the HVC77 tail pipe hanger. Tighten the clamps just enough to hold the assembly in place so the wire hanger r9ds can be positioned into the factory ruqber isolators. Note: if the hangers are positioned correctly the connections for the tubing will line up with the rubber isolators.
5. The MFT22 mid pipe is"trim to fit'.' Measure from the flange to the muffler leaving enough material to compensate for the slip fit connections. Remember to measure twice, cut once.
6. Now you can install the MFT22 mid pipe into the MVR400 muffler using the HTD086 hanger clamp. On most installations there is one mid pipe hanger not used. If it interferes with your installation you can remove it from the vehicle.
7. Finish the system by making all your final adjustments to the muffler, tailpipe and tip. Once you're satisfied with the alignment, finish tightening all the clamps. The use of air tools for this step is highly recommended. Next, start your vehicle and check for leaks. All clamps should be checked within the first 100 miles of driving and re-tightened as necessary.
Now it's time to fire up that truck and enioy your new Pypes Performance Exhaust.
