Hey, guys. Adam here with americantrucks.com and today, we're taking a closer look at and installing the Proven Ground TruShield Precision Molded Front Floor Liners in Black, available for the '09 to '14 F-150. You should be checking these out if you're looking for total protection of your front carpets to protect it against dirt, debris, spills, mud, and really all of the weather elements that you could be tracking in on your shoes inside of your truck. If you have a newer truck, you might be looking to keep those floors pristine and clean to hold onto its resell value. And for used trucks out there, if you're just looking for something that can weather the storm and really hold out through the years to come, especially if it's a work truck, this is a great way to go.These are made from a really high density, thick rubber material that's injection-molded to be a perfect fit to the contours of your floorboard. So, as you can see, it's molded up with a taller wall here from the center console section. It comes right under the seats specifically molded to the shape under those seats. And of course, it comes straight under the dashboard, for your driver's side, under those pedals. That's gonna give you that total protection. Now, as I said, it's made from a thick rubber. It is flexible, so it's really easy to get in and out. So the channels on the inside will trap in all those spills and liquids, whether it be coffee, snow, or any of the weather elements. It's gonna trap up into those channels there. You can pinch it so it doesn't escape and pull it out without getting anything else wet. Now, these are easily cleanable as well. A simple hose will do the trick. You can hose this guy right off, and if you need to, soap and water will do the trick too. It's extremely easy to use.The driver's side also has two retention holes that can snap into the factory retainers. Our truck only has one simple hook on the driver's side there. But some models do have both, in which case, you can utilize both of those to hold it in place. Underneath, there are the divots that you see from the weather channels that'll help sort of grip the carpet so it doesn't move around, but the contour to the floorboards they really hug tight and it'll hold it in place. The price tag comes in right around 150 bucks, so you get the pair for the front. The rears are also available separately, or you can pick up front and rear floor liners in a complete combo set. Now, other color options are available as well. This is more of a matte textured black that has a little bit more of a subtle grain texture there. There are some tan options out there to match different color interiors. I like this one because it matches really well with the black and it's pretty stealthy. It, kind of, blends in a little bit more and hides some of that dirt a little bit easier.Install, it goes without saying one out of three wrenches on our difficult to meter. It'll take you about five minutes from start to finish. If you already have factory floor liners, that's what we have in our F-150, I'll show you what that process looks like, but of course, you're just gonna pop them out and stick these in. It's super simple. What do you say we get started?Start with the uninstall. If you have factory floor liners, of course, we have to get those out of the way. Pretty easy, just pull it straight up and set it aside. Starting on our passenger side, I'm just gonna pinch this in. And you're basically just gonna drop it back into place, and it's gonna hug the entire floor line. You can see it matches up perfectly. Now, we can start on the driver's side. Taking the driver's side floor liners out, if you have the factory ones, pretty simple as well. There's a little hook there. We're just gonna lift it up above that hook and set it aside. So we got our factory floor liner off of the driver's side of our 2010 F-150 behind me, and it's on the table next to our Proven Ground TruShield floor mat. I want to go through some similarities and differences. And obviously, this wouldn't apply if you don't have factory formats. This would be a huge upgrade over the factory carpeting, but comparing it to the stock option format, it is still a really big upgrade. This floor mat here from the factory is a pretty thin, very flexible rubber, which is good, and it's got spikes on the bottom to help hold it in place. But in terms of volume and sheer coverage, it's really not gonna do the job properly. What you really need out of a floor liner is something that's got full coverage going completely under those pedals at the front end, especially around where that dead pedal is gonna be, and then one that goes under the seats there. This is something that also has a tall wall that comes up for that center console area too, which is also carpeted. So you really want to get that full coverage so it covers all of that factory carpeting to protect it from spills and all that unwanted debris. Now, the nice thing about this also is that it has the two retention points to retain using those factory points on your floorboard. Now, some models have two clips, some have one. These floor liners or floor mats come with both clips. So if you have both, you can utilize both, so it holds it in place. The bottom here doesn't have spikes like the factory one, but it still has those channels. It'll help grip it in place. The top here has those channels that, kind of, go off at an angle to really capture the spills and hold it in place there. And when it comes time for cleaning, you can just pinch it, pull it out and hose it off. And you can even clean it with simple soap and water if you need to.The last thing I want to mention is it's a very thick, very flexible rubber, so it's high-quality materials, a little bit thicker and more durable than your factory ones. And finally, the injection-molded is basically gonna make sure it's a perfect fit to the floorboards of your truck from '09 to '14. And then, of course, all the facts I just mentioned about this also apply to the passenger side. We just have the driver's side here on the table. So at this point, what'd you say, we jump over to the install?Putting your new ones in is the same as the passenger side except you would just want to keep that hook in mind. Make sure it goes underneath of both of the pedals. And from there, set it into your hook, press it into place and you're good to go.That's gonna wrap up my quick overview and install for the Proven Ground TruShield Precision Molded Front Floor Liners in Black, available for the '09 to '14 F-150.
