Regular rotor-type brakes only provide one option for slowing down and would usually end up creating a loud screech as you slow down, but the drum-style brake system utilizes a hollow aluminum drum with brake shoes installed inside it. Hitting the brakes will extend the brake shoes outward, providing an absolutely quiet deceleration.
Dual Ceramic Brakes. The PowerStop Z36 Extreme Truck and Tow 6-Lug Brake Rotor, Drum, And Pad Kit comes with brake pads and brake shoes, both of which are composed of top-notch ceramic carbon fiber pads that are designed to emit less dust and create minimal noise.
