You’ll need about 30 minutes and some basic hand tools. However, since you’re required to take apart your door, it’s a good idea to get it professionally replaced. Note that you’ll have to buy mounting bolts separately.

      Limited Lifetime Warranty. Dorman gives you a limited lifetime warranty for the Door Lock Actuator Motor. This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, but it doesn’t apply to damage caused by normal wear and tear.       Application. If you drive a 1999-2003 Ford F-150 Regular Cab or SuperCab vehicle, you’ll be able to install Dorman’s Door Lock Actuator Motor. Check with customer service about potential exclusions.
