Description
Get Your Money's Worth. If you’re spending money on a cold air intake, exhaust or other performance upgrades for your 3.5L EcoBoost F-150, then you’ll need a custom written tune to squeeze out the extra power those aftermarket bolt-on modifications has to offer. A MPT Performance Custom Tune is designed to optimize the air/fuel ratio, adjust ignition timing and tweak variable cam timing so you can see and feel the extra power that was left on the table.
MPT Performance Custom Tunes. When you order a set of three custom tunes from MPT Performance they are written specifically for your personal 3.5L EcoBoost F-150 and your particular modifications with your choice of octane level. MPT Performance even provides one post sale datalog review (if necessary) to assure your truck is running healthy and strong. MPT offers six different tunes that you can choose from which includes the PR-X High Boost Tune, PR-X High Boost Tune – Stock Trans, Performance Tow Tune, Performance Tow Tune – Stock Trans, Perf-Econ Tune and Performance Trans Only Tune.
PR-X High Boost Tune. This PR-X Tune, also known as the Performance Race Xtreme, is MPT's top performance tune that provides the most gains in power and performance. Available for 91 or 93 octane fuel only, this tune will make your F-150 feel lighter due to the increase in throttle response and part throttle boost. When compared to stock, the wide open throttle boost is increased by +/- 15%, which translates to 3/5 psi (depending on the rpm). With a peak boost around 19 psi +/-, this PR-X tune provides an increase in low-end torque and acceleration, which translates to quicker 0-60 and ¼ mile times. When compared to the factory tune, the PR-X Tune makes your shift points much firmer at higher rpms and mph’s. Your factory Sport Mode will also experience a noticeable increase in throttle response, when compared to the base shift mode. MPT also has an E30 version of this tune that is designed to be used with a mixture of E85 and premium fuel.
PR-X High Boost Tune – Stock Trans. If you prefer the factory shift points of your F-150 then this tune may be for you. This tune features the same benefits as PR-X tune but MPT makes sure the transmission setup is very mild for the F-150 owners that like the feeling of the stock shifts. This tune only can be used with 91 or 93 octane fuel.
Performance Tow Tune. Sometimes referred as a "Street" or "Daily Driver" Tune, this tune is a step under the PR-X Tune that can be used with 87-89, 91 or 93 octane fuel. MPT designed this tune to be a towing and performance tune hybrid with a peak boost around 15 psi +/-. The throttle response and part throttle boost is improved drastically when compared to the stock tune, but it’s not as aggressive as the PR-X tune. Even though this tune has a focus on performance, you’ll still be able to use this tune when you need to tow or haul.
Performance Tow Tune - Stock Trans. If you prefer the factory shift points of your F-150 then this tune may be for you. This tune features the same benefits as Performance Tow Tune but MPT makes sure the transmission setup is very mild for the F-150 owners that like the feeling of the stock shifts.
Perf-Econ Tune. Also known as the Performance Economy Hybrid Tune, MPT created this tune to provide a perfect blend between low fuel economy and top-end power. Designed for the F-150 owner that want power but don't want it constantly, this tune controls the closed pedal and very low throttle positions to ensure your fuel economy is enhanced. The tune can be used with either 87-89, 91 or 93 octane fuel.
Performance Trans Only Tune. Designed to be used with any octane fuel, this tune gives you the improvement in shifting and performance of the PR-X tune but leaves the fuel, spark and other features at the stock settings. MPT made sure you would have a noticeable increase in throttle response and acceleration with the tune, when compared to the stock tune.
Application. This set of three MPT Performance Custom Tune Files are designed specifically for the 2015 to 2016 F-150s equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 Engine with the Stock Turbos.

Not happy
Tunes have good power, but I don’t like the way it shifts at all, shift points seem off, n it seems To stay in a high gear unless u really get on it ,also I called n went over what I have done, n I have a check engine light on witch I was not told would come on, I’ve had serval other cars with similar mods n never had a check engine light, this is actually the first time I put catted down pipes on n still have a light

The Beast Within
In the beginning I was very iffy about tuning my vehicle (dealership scenarios) and didn't really have much idea as to what I was getting into and man I tell you what, the beast unleashed itself! MPT sent me emails and were very professional as to what you want/need, knowledgeable, and enjoyed the recommendations. Quicker Takeoff
I bought these tunes to transition to e85 with my 47lb ford performance injectors. I got the E85 PRX, Any Octane Trans Only Tune, and Performance/Economy 87 octane. It's like night and day. The takeoff is quicker and smoother, and there's nowhere near as much let off towards the top end. A 4wd v8 truck rolling right past 120 mph like it doesn't even matter. It's a fun and different kind of experience than just stomping a little v8 car to 100 .

Unreal!!!
My 2016 f150 with the 5.0 had good power before but now it's a beast!!! Unreal power gains in every RPM range and to bonus as of right now I have and increased fuel economy of 1.5 mpg. This truck would put run new chevys and stay beside those Hemi's as a stock truck, but now even those Hemi drivers are scratching there heads. From out of the hole to the top end this truck is a beast with great fuel mileage on top. Recommend this product to anyone who drives an f150
