Description
Make your 1999-2007 GM 8.1L sound and perform the way it should by increasing the exhaust flow and enhancing overall power. More power means you don't have to mash the go pedal as hard and as a benefit, we have seen a 2-4 mile per gallon increase on the highway. MPI Turbo series Mufflers are going to have a nice mellow sound, with a slightly higher noise level over stock with a lower tone making it sound like a truck instead of a Hoover vacuum vacuum.. MPI Performance series Mufflers are going to be more aggressive sounding with more growl at the tailgate and a bit more sound in the cab. Either Mufflers choice is guaranteed no droning. Note: All our kits are produced for the longest wheelbase available for this truck. You may need to trim your kit and the included instructions provide all the necessary measurements to make it a perfect fit. Reinforced for Heat and Corrosion Our Aluminized Steel Tube's raw material undergoes a continuous hot-dip process, building a coating across every millimeter of the surface. Hot-dipping results in a tight metallurgical bond between layers of an aluminum-silicon alloy and the tube's steel core. The final aluminized tube possesses a combination of enhanced properties: the strength of steel sheathed in the corrosion resistance of aluminum and the heat protection of aluminum-silicon alloy. It also performs quite nicely against exposure to salts.

Installed in about 4 hours you can save a hour by Sawzall stock bs off. I wanted to keep the stock suff. Great kit everything you need good instruction and labeled well. Sounds great!!!

2024 Ford 6.8L F350 Dually
Well, after several bad experience with my borla system in the past I tried these MPI guys. Said they been doing exhaust For 30 some year... I installed this system my self and after 500 miles of driving I love it I'm a customer for life!! Felt like it gained 2X the performance vs that b??rla and zero drone as advertised. I don't understand how it works but it's everything they said it was and even better. American truck were very helpful with the information also. Thank you very happy customers?

2018 Silverado LTZ install
This exhaust sounds great! Has a nice rumble to it and isn't intrusive inside, even on the highway. It is a weld system, so I took it to a shop to get it installed. Kit came with Chrome Tips but after contacting American Trucks, they shipped out the Black Tips right away.

Wasted money
MPI advertises this as a "no drone" exhaust, that's 100% not true !!! This kits been on my truck a week and is coming back off this weekend, the in cab drone with turbo series mufflers is so severe that it's impossible to drive more than 10 minutes without getting a headache. $1050 total investment wasted.

I purchased this system because of the knowlede Mike showed in all his videos and the feedback shown on his website. I have owned every brand cat back system but this is the first one that sounds so clean and NO drone. The installation was straight forward as long as you have the ability to weld the pipes. Turned out Great!!

MPI dual exhaust 2019 5.3 silverado
I did a lot of research and decided on this system, because of the PULSE chamber( no interior drone). I also chose the turbo mufflers as I did not want this as loud as my hot rods. I am really pleased with the sound at the tips. Not really loud at all and there is NO drone like stated .. The factory exhaust is very restricted .

Damn good exhaust
Have been running this exhaust on my truck for a few months now. It dose sound great inside and out of the cab. I didn't noticed any mpg gains but would definitely install it on another truck if I had one
