      Recalibration After Installation. If you are changing gear ratios, remember to update your onboard computer. Speedometer readings are affected by gear ratios and tire diameters so after installation, reprogram your vehicle using a tuner or recalibration device.

Specialized tools and equipment will be required to do the job properly.
