The fix

These trucks get pretty hot. One of the issues I've been struggling with especially since I got the tuner was how hot the truck got. I would get a cel every other day whenever I laid on that peddle. This bad boy fixed most of it. Just make sure all your fittings work before you start removing stuff, especially with AN fittings (get the proper tools/equipment).

This cooler is solid. I have not installed it yet. I will report results but I expect it will perform very well.

Good Buy

Took just a bit over an hour, only due to hose clamps on the hot side not being properly aligned. Spent a good 30 minutes fighting terrible angles to access those hose clamps. Do yourself a favor and align all hose clamps on every car you own, so it's conducive to easier work. And then tell all your friends and neighbors to do the same. This unit is substantially larger than the stock one, and the cooler temps absolutely reflect it. I am not tuned, and as to be expected no "noticeable" whp gains were made. However, I AM maintaining boost FAR better. Heatsoak is practically non-existent, and I am consistently making 17psi through 5+ pulls even after an hour of driving, which is certainly the major benefit! I will update after a tune if any improvements were made.

Perfect Fit

Just pure quality and fits perfectly just be aware that for some reason as someone else posted the bottom hose to radiator is just too hard to get on so I had to use my old Oring to get it to fit. Instructions would have been nice. I would also order the dorman y-pipe and thermostat housing as I did.

Trans Cooler

Big improvement. Reduced transmission temperature about 15-20 degrees when towing travel trailer.

Good upgrade

This was a good upgrade. Straightforward install and the video was a good reference. High quality part and most of the factory pieces fit snug. The grommets I added a small amount of grease to keep them from falling off. Very happy with this product Took hour and a half to install the only thing I had a issue with was the plastic shroud was hard to get started but once I got a corner the rest was easy

good radiator problems with hose and thermostat

The radiator is a work of art and fit well. The thermostat is a the "race" thermostat and a 160deg thermostats vs the OEM that is 180. after install the engine temp is all over the map from going up to almost the H on the temp gauge to down to the C and this was driving in 105 deg. going to chuck that thermostat and put a OEM one in. The o-ring in the main hose assy that slips onto the radiator was the wrong size. No way could i get to go on. It was too small and was kind or rattling around in the fitting. Took the o-ring out of the old hose and it fit perfectly

Best Bang for your Buck

Best buy for upgrading any cooler since this application is universal. I actually used this one to upgrade my power steeing pump.

Mitshmoto trans oil cooler, does the job.

For about a month I monitored my transmission temperature through the digital gauge on the Dashboard and it averaged anywhere between 215 to about 219 Degrees.. This is without towing and driving at around 65 miles an hour with outside temperature 65°F. As of today, Wednesday, October 2nd while driving for about a good 30 minutes, the temperature gauge on the transmission display did not go above 200 Degrees Again, with no towing, temperature outside was around 60 to 62°F. I had this upgrade done due to the fact that in a year or so I may be using the truck for some towing purposes. This is a game changer for me as my transmission now has around 77000 miles. I've already changed the fluid more than once. I want to keep this transmission alive as best as possible. Thank you, Mitshmoto and American trucks for a great product.
