Peace of mind!
After getting my truck, this is the first thing I got. Don't want to go through what happened to me years ago when someone stole my tailgate because my brother forgot to lock the truck. Anyways, it took me 4 minutes to install (that long because I read the instructions just in case). I would highly recommend this device.

Works as advertised
I know a lot of folks use hose clamps for a buck or two, but this device is secure, and the key for it means even if a thief is around with a cordless drill and set up bits, they can't easily take your tailgate.

Have 2 f150's 13 and 15 and my 13 didn't come with a lock on the hinge so I got this one I like it a lot. looks to be a good safety item... I have a step in my gate so replace would a couple of grand....

Very easy to install, took about 10 minutes. Looks a hole lot better than the hose clamp that was on it. I had some friends try to take it off and they could not do it, because it kept setting off the alarm.
