Justin: If you're the owner of a 2021 and newer 5-liter F150 and you're looking to go big on a budget, then you'll wanna check out the 4-Inch Race Series Installer System from MBRP that we're talking about here today. Now, this system is gonna combine a massive 4-inch diameter with the aluminized steel build and very aggressive tone all for the mid $400 price point. Install is gonna get a middle-of-the-road two to three wrenches on the difficulty meter at least according to the site, take a couple of hours to get in place from start to finish. But if you hang with me for a bit, we'll walk you through that job later in the video. But since this is an exhaust review, after all, let's just jump right into the sound you can expect here with the MBRP in place. And honestly, prior to the install, I really didn't know how this one was gonna go down, right? You got the aggressive race muffler working with the very large-diameter tubing on the new Gen 3 Coyote here. And honestly, guys, the combination was killer, right? You got a very aggressive tone overall but not too loud. Tone was nice and deep, no crazy rash to talk about. And last but not least, the sound on the highway while noticeable, certainly not gonna be overbearing. So breaking out my tried and true wake the neighbor scale, you are gonna make a few neighbors with this one, no doubt, but certainly very enjoyable, overall. I would say a healthy four out of five overall, again on my one to five or one to wake the neighbor scale. Now, shaping the sound with this particular system will be the free-flowing free series muffler from MBRP. This guy is gonna help deliver that deeper, more powerful tone overall. And again, I use the word shape as opposed to muffle because there's really not a whole lot of muffling going on with this system in place. But the big story here, no doubt is gonna be that 4-inch diameter with the tubing, absolutely massive. And all that mandrel bent which will help increase the flow, lower back pressure, all that good stuff. It's also gonna cut some weight off the truck as well when compared to your heavy factory system that you'll be replacing. Now, this particular kit does include the great fruit shooter, the 5-inch tip embossed with the MBRP logo in chrome, and the entire system the tip especially here will exit in that factory location. Now if you prefer a stealthier look, well, there is a black tip option from MBRP as well, it's gonna be nearly identical to this one, just with a coated black tip or axle-back portion. And you can find that here on the site for a few bucks more. Now, the entire system has been made from that aluminized steel material, which is great for keeping costs down compared to a full stainless option. But the downside of that will be is that it's gonna be a little bit more susceptible to corrosion for owners who might live in a snowy area, you see a lot of road salt during the winter months, so just something to keep in mind there.Regardless though, MBRP does kick in a three-year warranty with the installer system in that aluminized steel, just in case you run into any trouble. But now let's shift gears and talk a little bit more about the install which honestly won't be bad at all once the factory system is out of the way. That's gonna be the hardest part of the job, after that, everything is gonna bolt in the place, starting from front to back. But to give you a better idea of what to expect on your '21 and newer F150 at home, check out our detailed walkthrough and tool breakdown now.Man: Tools for this install, an impact, a 5/16 Allen bit or key, a 13-millimeter socket, 15-millimeter socket, an electric ratchet or ratchet, and an exhaust hanger removal tool. Start by grabbing a 13-millimeter socket and undoing the two bolts at the flange. Next, take your exhaust hanger removal tool and get the muffler out of the isolator. Next, we're going to slide our exhaust towards the tail end so we can get them out of the two additional hangers, and then we're gonna drop the whole exhaust as a full, I grabbed a buddy to help me out with that.Taking your new front pipe, we're gonna attach that to the flange. And with the stock hardware and the kit-provided washers, we're gonna hand-tighten our flange. Now, take one of your kit-provided clamps and place the hanger onto the clamp, and place your hanger into your isolator. Now, taking a pole jack, use it to support your muffler. Get your hanger onto your muffler, slide your hanger clamp over your muffler, and then place your muffler onto your front pipe. Again, using the pole jack for support or jack stand if you're working on the ground. And taking your 15-millimeter socket, tighten that clamp down.Taking another clamp, place that on the backside of your muffler. Taking your over axle pipe, we're gonna place it into the hanger above and onto the muffler. Take another kit-provide a clamp, place that over your over axle pipe and your tailpipe, get it over your axle pipe, and into your hanger. Now, take your exhaust tip, place that onto your tailpipe, and with your 5/16 Allen wrench or bit, tighten your exhaust tip. And now we can tighten down all our clamps. This is gonna call for a 15-millimeter socket for all of our clamps. And with your 13-millimeter socket, re-tighten your flange bolts. And that's gonna wrap it up for our review and install of the MBRP 4-Inch Installer Series Race Version Single Exhaust System with Side Exit, fitting your '20 and '21 5.0 F150.
