Description
Improves Handling Performance. These Mammoth Trail Series Premium Monotube Rear Shocks were designed as a performance upgrade for your F-150's original shocks. Mammoth specifically engineered their non-adjustable Shocks with pre-set damping to improve your F-150's handling and ride quality. These Mammoth Monotube Trail Series Shocks are the perfect upgrade for F-150 owners with a 4.0 to 6.5-Inch lift.
Quality Construction. Manufactured using a gas pressurized mono tube design, these Mammoth Shocks feature a mirror-finished, hard-chrome OE style piston rod that provides superior corrosion resistance and leak free sealing. While the combination of premium Eneos Oil and Freudenberg NOK seals ensures a great seal, long-life and consistent dampening over a wide range of temperature conditions to maintain dampening and rebound. These Mammoth Premium Monotube Trail Series Shocks feature an outer steel housing that is completed in durable black finish for impressive good looks.

Good shocks
Good shocks at an affordable price. However, the biggest issues I have were that the packaging of both shocks were protruding out of the packaging and both straps were off the shocks. No instructions were included either.

Mammoth shocks
Installed these before a long trip and first thing I noticed was the width of the new shocks were much wider than stock. Running a 1.5 inch lift in the rear with 3 inch in front. Overall the mammoth shocks did an outstanding job of smoothing my ride. The new shocks ate the tilt from high speed curves essentially making my truck stick to the pavement. I would buy these time and time again over high performance shocks.

Different truck…
Changed out the stock rears with 50k on them and threw these on. Night and day over bumps. Running stock tire size on the 20” sport wheels so no big load. Highly recommend these. Much better bang for the buck than the Fox etcetera. Only thing in the ballpark are the Bilstein 5100’s. The compression straps were there, but almost broken. They’re strongly charged and it was almost a problem. Need the warning and be careful not to break straps.

I have always used OEM shocks from my ford dealer, but once I put these Mammoth Trail Series Premium, I will never go back to OEMs. Thanks American Trucks.

Ride well for the price point
It’s an affordable monotube and definitely an improvement in ride quality from stock. Makes a bit of an odd noise however when jumping on the bed to test the firmness. Don’t hear it much inside when driving. Downside is the packing is poor. Shocks straps easily come off. Like other reviews the shocks were fully extended and the box was broken upon arrival. Paint had some scuffs as a result from being thrown around while the box was busted.

Easy to install. Came with no instructions but not a big deal. Would of been nice if they came compressed for easy install but nothing to bad we couldn't adjust too. Rides nicer can't wait to load it up.
