Description
This K&N NextGen cold air intake system is engineered for CHEVROLET/GMC 1500 V8-5.3/6.2L F/I. A high-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotationally molded tube helps increase the volume of airflow by 13.46% to your engine and provides an increase of 18.98 horsepower and 24.38 torque with no tune required. This intake system is paired with a washable, reusable High-Flow LIFETIME Air Filter™ featuring oiled cotton filter media. The oversized, conical design allows you to go up to 100,000 miles between filter services under normal highway driving conditions. A custom designed NextGen air box helps protect intake air from the high temperature of your engine bay, and the entire system can typically be installed in less than 60 minutes.

K&N Blackhawk cold air intake
It was easy to install, the truck feels better , before it was kinda sluggish and it felt like it had a misfire. I changed the spark plugs and added new wires and still had a shake to it like it wanted to shut off… after installing this cold air intake, my truck woke up and wants to take off and the misfire is gone. I guess it needed some air ??

Performs like it’s supposed to. Small increase in power, better throttle response, and more aggressive sound between 1500-2500 RPM before shift point. Getting about 1-2mpg increase on highway. Highly recommend if your motor seems to drag a little , this will wake it right up. Make sure you angle more forward in line with the throttle body so the hose clamp sits right.

Superior quality
This K&N CAI lives up to it's known quality. Install was a breeze. Engine looks sick and the functionality is very noticable. You'll notice a nice growl when your accelerating too! *K&N plate is actually a sticker, not a welded plate as shown.

Great product. Really woke the truck up. You can put the MAF sensor in backwards which will cause it to not want to run but it’s a quick fix if you do install it wrong
