Congratulations, you have purchased the finest air filter that money can buy. With proper care, this filter will last 1 million miles or more. This filter is a direct replacement for the stock air filter, and no modifications will be required. However the following procedure MUST be followed to ensure a proper fit and seal of the K&N Filtercharger®.

1. Carefully remove the wire connector from the Mass Air Sensor taking care not to break the connector or the wires. See Fig 1.
2. Carefully remove the wire connector from the Air Intake Temp Sensor taking care not to break the connector or the wires. See Fig 2.
3. Loosen the hose clamp on the air intake tube and disconnect the intake tube from the Mass Air Sensor.
4. Unfasten the three retaining clips that hold the airbox lid to the base and remove the lid from the vehicle.
5. Using a damp rag wipe out any dirt or dust that is inside the airbox. The airbox lid must be clean and dry so the adhesive backed gasket will stick to it.
6. Install the adhesive backed gasket onto the airbox lid, making sure that you position the gasket so that the notch on the gasket is on the same side of the lid as the slot that is on the lid. See Fig 3.
7. Remove the dirty air filter and install the K&N FILTERCHARGER into the airbox base.
8. Reinstall the airbox lid by holding the lid at an angle and fully engaging the two tabs on the airbox lid into the two slots on the airbox base. Be careful not to roll the gasket off the lid while doing this. See Fig 4.
9. Lower the airbox lid and refasten the three retaining clips to the airbox lid.
10. Reconnect the Mass Air Sensor connector and the Air Intake Temp sensor connector.
11. Reconnect the air intake tube to the Mass Air Sensor and tighten the hose clamp.

THESE INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED EVERY TIME THE FILTER IS SERVICED, OTHERWISE THE FILTER MAY NOT SEAL, AND DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE COULD RESULT.
