An aggressive all-black design that brings commandos or ninjas to mind, the K&N Blackhawk Cold Air Intake takes under 90 minutes to install but gives you years of extra power and a thrilling “performance intake” sound to your engine. Slurping in enough extra air to get your truck roaring with new power, the Blackhawk adds a very solid +20.4 horsepower gain alongside a torque boost of +17.5 ft-lbs. You’ll also notice improvements in throttle response, fuel economy, and overall engine performance.

No Aftermarket Tune Needed for Function. The K&N Blackhawk Cold Air Intake reuses the OEM MAF and therefore does not require a tune in order to operate correctly. The factory tune will work perfectly well with this cold air intake.

Dry Synthetic Filter Element. K&N’s Blackhawk Cold Air Intake features a black filter element made from non-woven synthetic material. The part is washable and can be reused once clean, and is a dry, oil-free filter that spares you the mess and hassle of re-oiling. The filter is made to last a long time before it needs its initial cleaning, up to 100,000 miles depending on how much dust and debris you typically drive through.

Tough Steel and Aluminum Build. The K&N Blackhawk Induction Cold Air System is made with a synthetic air filter that doesn’t need oiling after cleaning. A steel heat shield surrounds this, with a black powder-coated finish. The tube is also black powder-coated with a textured surface, but underneath is rust-proof and corrosion proof aluminum, which also reduces the potential weight of the tube. The clamps are stainless steel, and a polished K&N badge provides a single bright contrast to the intake’s black finish.

MAF Housing for OE MAF. The MAF housing on the K&N Blackhawk Induction Cold Air System is made to fit the 85mm factory MAF already found in your F-150. It also includes mounting attachments for the various vent hoses that link to the CAI.

Installs via Bolt-On Attachment. Taking 90 minutes or under to install, the K&N Blackhawk Induction Cold Air System is a straightforward upgrade that uses bolt-on attachment to the existing brackets and bolt holes. Hardware and instructions are included in the kit.

1 Million Mile Warranty. A 1 million mile warranty from K&N covers the Blackhawk Induction Cold Air Intake.

CARB EO Number for Nationwide Use. The K&N Blackhawk Induction Cold Air Intake is designed to be fully CARB compliant. This makes it legally to drive it on the street in any of the 50 US states, including California and other CARB-using regions. The CARB EO Number is #D-269-57. The included CARB exemption sticker must be positioned so that it’s easily visible on the intake, so that your F-150 can pass inspections in areas where CARB rulings apply.

Application.  This K&N Blackhawk Induction Cold Air Intake kit is specially designed to fit the 2011 to 2012 F-150s equipped with the 6.2L V8 engine. Not Compatible with the Raptor. Computer retuning is not required.

Technical Note. The K&N Cold Air Intake is not designed for vehicles equipped with a Body Lift.
