Usable with the OE Tune. You can install the K&N Blackhawk Cold Air Intake in your F-150’s 5.0L engine without changing the stock tune. The CAI works at full capacity with the OE tune still in place on the electronic control unit (ECU). Using aftermarket tunes won’t interfere with the Blackhawk’s functionality in most cases, but are not required in order to run it.

Rust-Proof and Sturdy Manufacture. Oxidation-proof aluminum is used for the intake tube of the K&N Blackhawk Cold Air Intake, though it is coated in textured black powder-coat also to match the all-black look of the component. The air filter is made out of synthetic material and is 6” tall, with a 7.5” large end diameter. The CAI’s clamps are fabricated out of carbon steel, while the K&N nameplate is made from polished metal, engraved with the company name and welded securely onto the intake tube.

Made for Factory MAF Reuse. The K&N Blackhawk Cold Air Intake is designed to mount the stock MAF sensor in an appropriately positioned housing. Other fittings include an EVAP hose and a crankcase hose attachment point so you can get it up and running easily.
