Description
Better Breathing for Your Hard-Working F-150. The HPS Cool Ram Air Cold Intake is the perfect performance upgrade to replace your old worn-out airbox and plastic intake-inlet elbow. The Cool Ram Air Cold Intake boosts horsepower and torque output while improving throttle response on your 5.4L Triton engine. This is achieved through a freer flowing intake inlet tube and the presence of a heat shield to save the cold air charge from being heat soaked. There is no tuning required to obtain these outputs. The cold air intake maintains a safe air/fuel ratio to keep your Triton trucking. HPS cold air intake is built from reinforced silicone hoses, a free-flowing 3.50-inch mandrel bent aluminum pipe and stainless-steel T clamps to ensure no mechanical failure. The cold air intake includes a HPS 6-Inch inlet high-flow conical air filter with a million-mile warranty. The Cool Ram Air Cold Intake increases not only performance and drivability, it also increases the service life of your hard-working Ford.
Easy Installation. Installation should take approximately 30 minutes and shouldn’t require anything more than a quarter inch socket set and some screwdrivers.
Application. The wrinkle black HPS Cool Ram Air Cold Intake fits 1997-2003 Ford F150s equipped with the 5.4L Triton engine. It is not compatible on 1999-2003 F-150 Lightning and 2002-2003 F-150 Harley Davidson Editions.

HPS Cold Air Intake
Was a fairly easy install and it seems pretty quality, I was shorted some bolts and nuts for mounting the anti vibration rubber mount to hold the metal shield. Other than that, pretty solid.

Bought it for the color. Installed it with my dad and it took us about 1.5 hours (instructions are great but all of the nuts and bolts are in the same bag). Sounds great and finally feel like I own a V8.

Good
My only complaint is that they seemed to cheap out on the directions, but they are decent. They tell you to cut the hose at 14" and 16", but it's only 28" long, I was able to make it work. It does look good, and at speed, when you stomp on it, the exhaust is noticeably louder. It's easy to forget that it has a V8 with the stock exhaust, but this definitely helps! Took me about 1.5hrs cause I got distracted lol
