Great exhaust cutout
I wasnt sure if I was going to need the full system or just the exhaust cutout. This is universal so we did have to play with the parts to make it work. I already had the wiring harness installed previously so I just swapped out the cutout system with the old one as it was broken. Took about an hour. Mostly because the old parts.

Find a better option
Was excited for a active exhaust kit but there was a lot of fab work to get it to fit, it’s a universal kit so that wasn’t much of a surprise but after about 3 weeks the valve wouldn’t shut all the way and would continue to push open if you were in throttle causing a awful rattling metal sound. Overall it’s just not worth the money if it was closer to the $50-$75 range it would be expected.

Absolutely awesome!
Took about 3 hours to install, involved a bit of cutting and messing with the muffler to get it fitter but after that it was easy sailing. There can be a little hiccup with running the wire to the battery but it should be all fine when you secure it. Works like a dream and sounds absolutely amazing. If your looking for a raw sounds from your engine, this is it!!

Love the control ability
I didn’t want anything permanent so I found this cutout. This thing is great and glad I made the jump to buy it. Cut 9 inches off. Assembled the cutout system. Clamped it in. Ran the wire. And that is all there is to it. I’ve seen videos of people putting silicone sealant around the wire coming from the motor to help with longevity. Good Product.

It's a nice novelty
As far as installation I went to a shop to have it welded in place, but the wiring was simple enough so I did it myself. It works pretty good. However it never made a complete seal when closed, so it always made a rattling sound when closed. I had it for about 2years now and the valve no longer works. I wouldn't recommend this for a long-term use but it was fun to use when on the throttle.

Worked out great
I installed this unit onto a borla 3 inch exhaust system and I went one step further and used QTP wireless remote system that also worked great just needed to replace the 12 volt wire connector from a male that it cam with to a female, than I used the remote from the QTP system to program the garage door opener # 2 to open the exhaust and # 3 to close it very nice.

Very nice but think about longevity…
This was awesome the first year and a half but good things came to an end. The soldered wire connections at the little motor went bad and when I went to troubleshoot they fell right off the soldered location. I’m in NJ so the roads are salty in the winter. It’s hard to keep something underneath the truck in great condition for a long time. I still recommend this but if you live in an area with salty roads or conditions that are similar then you might have issues down the road.

It put the bark back in the dog
It showed up well packed and undamaged. THIS particular part number is weld on but I opted for butt joint clamps sourced locally. Overall maybe a 3 hour install with pipe cutting pliers. Fit and appearance are excellent. One touch operation is perfect and I haven't heard any rattling from the flap. I already have an aftermarket muffler and adding this only upped the fun. Well worth the price to have an option for "considerate" cold starts in the morning and full send in the afternoon.

Very good quality.
I had the “x force “ cutout before it’s junk! But however it is wireless but this one is well worth it. The switch and the whole entire system works great. Just make sure you get band clamps .
