Precision Design & Build. You can have all the horsepower in the world but it won't mean a thing if your drivetrain is damaged or broken. The key element in transmitting power to the drive wheels from the driveshaft are the ring and pinion gears. These gears operate under intense loads and harsh conditions. If they aren't made of the finest materials and precision made then they can fail and/or cause problems. The folks at G2 understand this and that is why they take manufacturing their G2 8.25 in. IFS Front Ring Gear and Pinion Kit - 4.10 Gears seriously. Precision engineering and manufacturing ensure that when you replace your existing set-up you will be replacing it with a product that will perform and last.

Premium Materials. G2 starts out with premium 8620 forged steel for these gears and then precision machines them to tight, OEM tolerances to ensure their easy set-up. Then they are heat-tempered for additional strength, and finally they are lapped to smooth out any imperfections in the machining process so that they will mesh and rotate precisely and quietly.

Experience Recommended. To install or replace these gears will require a knowledge of drivelines as well as specialized tools and equipment. If you are not familiar with drivelines and rear-ends, or do not have the specialized tools and equipment necessary, then it is recommended that you take this part to a certified mechanic to perform the repairs.
