While that's true, the Flowmaster 40 Series Delta Flow Center/Offset Oval Muffler - 2.25-inch inlet and outlet, improves exhaust flow to optimize horsepower gains for big block engines like the one lying under your 1999-2024 Chevy hood.
Improved Exterior Sound. Although the quietest of all the 40-Series exhaust mufflers from Flowmaster, this Delta Flow Muffler provides a deep, aggressive external sound with no internal resonance, providing a better sound than the original 40 Series mufflers.
Superior Construction. To ensure the 40 Series muffler meets your off-road demands, the engineers at Flowmaster utilize high-grade aluminized steel for its manufacture. It is MIG-welded to stretch its durability further. The black powder coat finish is not only meant to add a bold look but is highly resistant to corrosion and abrasion, rendering the muffler long-lasting.
Modifications Required. This Muffler was designed to be used on mutliple applications, as it is not a direct fit replacement part. In order to install this Muffler properly on your vehicle, some modifications to the exhaust system will be required.
Warranty. Flowmaster provides a Three-Year Limited Warranty for all aluminized steel exhaust systems including the 40-Series Delta Flow Aluminized Steel Muffler. The manufacturer warrants the muffler against material defects and workmanship within the warranty period. Contact the manufacturer for exceptional clauses.
