Hey, guys. It's Sara with americantrucks.com and today, we have a review and install of the Tri-Pro LED Projector Headlight with the black housing and the clear lens, fitting your '09 to '14 F-150s without the factory HIDs.These are perfect for the F-150 owner who's looking to replace their aging factory headlights with an LED and wants a projector-style option that features black styling, updated design, and accent LEDs. These Tri-Pro LED Projector Headlights feature high and low beam LEDs with a 5500K color temperature, and being an LED, they will outlast the life of your factory halogen bulbs. They also feature white LED daytime-running light bars, as well as separate amber sequential turn signals, and include all factory-style connectors for ease of install. And these headlights are constructed from clear lenses with durable black housings and are DOT and SAE-approved meaning they're legal for on-road use.So as far as price goes, these headlights come in at around $700 for the pair, which is middle-of-the-road price-wise when compared to other options. And for your money, you are getting an LED projector-style headlight with aftermarket black styling and accent LEDs. And as far as the install goes, I'm giving this one a two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. They do feature a direct bolt-up and plug-and-play install with no wiring required and can be done within one hour. So, with that said, let's check out the install. For this install, we used an impact gun, but a regular ratchet will work just fine. You'll also need a 10-millimeter socket. All right, so the first step in our uninstall, with your hood popped, we're going to grab a 10-millimeter socket and remove three bolts, two at the top and one on the side. And repeat that for the top two bolts. Now that you have all the bolts out, grab your headlight and pull it straight back towards you. That will release the two clips at the back, and now we can start to unplug all the connectors. We're going to start with the brown one at the very bottom, then press down and pull back to release. Moving on to the two gray connectors, press down and pull back to remove these as well. And now you can remove your headlight. And now that we have our new headlight here, we can start to plug in each connector. We are starting with the gray one all the way up to the corner. Moving on to our next connector, this medium-sized gray one will go to the black connector, this one's the main. And then, finally, all the way up the bottom here we have our brown connector. Go ahead and plug that one in as well. All right, now everything's plugged in. Make sure all your wiring is out of the way. You may want to throw a zip-tie or two on there just to be certain. Line up your headlight. There are two pins at the back and one pin at the front here, go ahead and press into place. And now that your headlight is in place, go ahead and reinstall the factory hardware in the top. Go ahead and get your bolts started and, with your 10-millimeter socket, tighten it down. And repeat that with the bolt on the inside of your headlight. All right, now that we have our factory headlight uninstalled from our truck, we can check it out side by side with our new headlight here. Now, as you can see, design-wise they are very different from one another. This new headlight features an updated design with black styling and modern LEDs to give you a completely different look from the reflector chrome design of the factory. In addition, it features three projector-style lenses to get you a brighter and more focused beam of light and also features a reflector lens separately for your high-beam. So, with that said, you're going to go ahead and finish up the install by repeating all those steps to install your passenger side headlight. And now that you've finished installing the passenger side headlight, that's going to do it for the review and install of these headlights. And remember, for all things F-150, keep it at americantrucks.com.
