If so, this highly versatile, durable, and heavy-duty 6 Inches towing option can help you do just that. The Tie Down Backing Plate from CURT offers a standard 1-1/4 x 1-1/4-Inch receiver hitch for small trailer towing and bike rack or cargo carrier mounting.
Heavy-Duty Steel Build. This component is rectangular and has center holes that are 2 Inches apart from center to center. The outer holes are 3 x 3-1/4 Inches from center to center. The heavy-duty strength construction comes with a black powder-coated finish for resistance against rust and corrosion. This small yet highly versatile component is guaranteed to meet and exceed all your towing and cargo mounting needs, thanks to its high-end construction and durability.
Straightforward Installation. This backing plate strengthens your tie-down anchor and allows a more flexible installation. As for the backing plate itself, its package doesn’t include mounting screws for the installation. You either have to purchase new ones or use your existing ones. Installation doesn’t require drilling, cutting, or welding.

This works great on my 2006 F150 Lariat! I did have to purchase a connector to fit my truck (less than $20 on amazon) but after that it plugged right in, no hard wiring required. I did have to zip tie it underneath my dash due to the steep slant, but it has been working fine.

Cables fit on the OEM plugs perfectly. The cables are long enough to manipulate in any way you want for clean cable management and you don't need any wiring knowledge. Excellent addition if you need an extra 5-Way connection supplementary to your factory adapters. No complaints.

Nice little gadget
Haven't used all of the features yet, but it seems pretty accurate. I plan to test it against some scale readings to see how close it gets. Inexpensive way to take some guess work out of towing, that could potentially be dangerous for you, your family, and those you share the roadways with. Even if it's just close its better than blindly thinking you're okay.
