Giving your Ford F-150 pickup a lower suspension stance lowers its center of gravity and makes it more responsive, better able to handle fast corners, intricate maneuvering at speed, and general handling in regular and less-than-ideal conditions. With the right shocks, Ford truck lowering kits also provide a boost in comfort over stock, or at a minimum don't lessen comfort significantly. Though ground clearance is cut, handling is boosted, so if you're not driving over rocky ground and obstacles all the time, you stand to gain a lot from installing one of these kits. Most include shocks for the rear at a minimum, calibrated to provide a sporty feel and just the correct level of support to make the most of the dropped stance's possibilities.
