      Description

      Replace Your F-150's Defective Camshaft Position Sensor. The Magnetic Camshaft Position Sensor is an integral component of your F-150's variable cam timing system, monitoring the position of the camshafts to enable the PCM to make timing adjustments that improve efficiency and performance. However, when a cam position sensor fails, the computer can no longer monitor the position of the camshafts, resulting in pre-detonation, a check engine light, rough idling, trouble starting, and poor efficiency/power.
