Today, I'm bringing you a quick overview and installation of the Performance Chrome Power Heated Mirrors with LED Signals, which are available for all 2004 to 2012 F-150s. So, in this video, we'll be going over the functionality and benefits of the performance chrome mirrors, as well as all the materials and construction. I'll top the video off with the install, which I let you know upfront is going to be a pretty simple and straightforward install, which will get a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter.The Performance Chrome Power Heated Mirrors with LED Signals will be for any 2004 to 2012 F-150 owner who's looking to pick up a pretty straightforward replacement part for their old worn-out mirrors, or maybe they were damaged in an accident or have cracked glass. This will be a direct-fit replacement for your factory mirrors. This set comes with heated mirror glass, which is great to work in conjunction with that functionality of your F-150. It also works with the folding mirror mechanisms you also have in the truck. On top of that, it's got the chrome trim that you need to get everything to match up with your factory trim, of course. Since this is all OEM quality materials, expect an ABS plastic housing with a black textured trim, of course, all the way around. You get the chrome finish up top to match all your factory trim, and then, of course, you get the high-powered LED lights down the bottom, which are actually going to be a lot brighter than your factory ones, for a safer and more visible appearance.Now, obviously when you're shopping for an OEM part right from Ford, you know you could be paying a fortune, so this particular option will be on the other side of the spectrum as a high-quality, aftermarket part. This one will come in right around the $300 mark which, in my opinion, is not too bad, considering you can be paying double from Ford while still getting the same quality you'd expect. Now, you get the chrome trim, the black housing, of course, heated mirrors, LED signals, all of that comes together with the ambered lens. Now, I do wanna point out this point, they do not work in conjunction with memory-position mirrors, so if you have a pre-set set for your mirrors, and you like to do that as well, that is not going to work with these sets here, but it does work with all power mirror functions. So, just keep that in mind going forward.As far as the install's concerned, like I said in the very beginning, a very, very straightforward install. They're gonna be using all factory mounting positions, nothing too crazy to expect from this particular one. Everything you need comes directly in the box to get the job done, and I'd say you'll be spending about an hour's worth of time at the absolute maximum on the install from start to finish. These RedRock 4x4 Performance Side Mirrors are the perfect solution to restore your F-150 back to showroom new condition.
LED Turn Signal Lighting. RedRock 4x4 Performance Mirrors feature integrated amber turn signal LEDs on the front and back side of the housings. These super bright LEDs will make sure that you are seen day or night. The LED Turn Signals simply plug into your F-150's existing factory harness. The LEDs will automatically activate in conjunction with your turn signals.
Durable ABS Construction. RedRock 4x4 manufactures their Factory Style Performance Side Mirrors from an OEM quality acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) material. ABS is known for its light weight, superior durability and impact resistance making it the ideal material for use on and off road. RedRock 4x4 then completes their Mirrors in an OE-style black pebble textured finish that matches your F-150s existing factory trim and then tops them off with a bright chrome accent cap.
Some Wiring Required. The RedRock 4x4 Mirrors use the existing factory holes and wiring harnesses for a painless installation. Removal of the interior door panel is required for installation and there is some wiring needed.
Application.
