Hey guys, it's Sara with americantrucks.com, and today we have a review and install of the Raxiom Super White LED Halo Projector Headlights with black housings and clear lenses, fitting your '09 to '14 F150s without the factory HIDs. These are perfect for the F150 owner who wants to upgrade to a projector-style headlight and wants one with a modern black design and LED halos. They're constructed from clear polycarbonate lenses with heavy-duty black plastic housings that are weather-sealed to prevent dust and moisture from entering your headlight. These projector headlights feature a black design with white LED halos around each lens, and are DOT and SAE compliant, meaning they're legal for on-road use. So as far as price goes, these headlights come in at around $350 for the pair, putting them about middle-of-the-road price-wise when compared to other options. And for your money, you are getting a projector-style headlight with a modern black design and those nice bright white LED halos. And as far as the install goes, I'm giving this one a two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. They do feature a direct bolt up and plug and play install that can be done within one hour. So with that said, let's check out that install. For this install, we used an impact gun, but a regular hand ratchet will work just fine. You'll also need a 10-millimeter socket. All right, so the first step in your uninstall, with your hood popped, is to grab a 10-millimeter socket and remove the 2 bolts on top of your headlight. And repeat that for the second bolt up top with that 10-millimeter socket. Next up, there is 1 more 10-millimeter on the inside of your headlight. Go ahead and grab that 10-millimeter socket, and we are using a small extension here, and get this removed. Then with all of your bolts removed, you can grab your headlight and pull it straight back towards you to release it off the truck. Then once you've removed the headlight, we do need to unplug each of these connectors. Go ahead and press down on the tab of each connector, and pull it straight back to remove it. And then remove your headlight. All right, so before we can get our new headlight installed, we do need to transfer over some of the bulbs and sockets from the old headlight. We're going to start with a small gray connector here. Twist it counterclockwise to remove it. Now, we do need to remove and set aside this bulb. So go ahead and pull that out. So we're just going to use this socket here. We will not be reusing that bulb.Next up, we're going to line it up with the connector and plug it in. Make sure it's all the way in on your new headlight. Line up each of these tabs and twist it clockwise in place. Next up, the brown connector for your amber bulb, go ahead and twist counterclockwise. And we're going to transfer over this whole unit, bulb and socket, to the new headlight. Line up each of the tabs around the outside. And once you've done that, twist clockwise to lock it in place. Now we can get this installed. Now to get your new headlight installed, we're going to start by plugging in each of the connectors. We're starting with this small gray connector. Go ahead and plug it in. Make sure you hear that click. Next up, we're going to do the main connector. This one is the black one on your new headlight. And it will go to your main gray connector on the truck. And finally, you may need to tilt it in a little bit, but we have the brown connector on the bottom. Once those are all installed, go ahead and line up that headlight. There are several tabs, plastic, and metal at the back. Once you have them lined up, go ahead and press it into place. Now with the headlight fully installed, we can install that factory hardware. We're starting with the bolts on the inside. Go ahead and thread that in. Then with your 10-millimeter socket, tighten it down. Now, we can install the bolts at the top of your headlight. Again, we're just threading these factory bolts back in. And with a 10-millimeter socket, tightening it down. All right, and now that we have our factory headlight uninstalled from our truck, we can take a look at it side by side with our new headlight here. Now as you guys can see, the biggest difference is the design of the new headlight. We're ditching that chrome of the factory in favor of a more modern and black style with this new headlight. It also features the halo LEDs around both of your lenses to give it a more aftermarket look.In addition, this one also features two different lenses for the high and low beam. On the low beam, you have a projector-style lens, which gets you a more focused beam of light when compared to the reflector of the factory. They also have a reflector on that high beam as well. So with that said, you're going to go ahead and finish up the install by repeating all of those steps on your passenger side. And now that you've installed that passenger side headlight, that is going to do it for the review and install of these headlights. And remember, for all things F150, keep it right here at americantrucks.com.
