Upgrade Your Performance. If your Silverado is running a modified, high-performance 5.3L application, this 90mm Throttle Body is an important way to offer extra idle control without needing a fly-by-wire throttle. The 90mm size allows the perfect amount of airflow and maintains proper performance. 

Extra Idle Control. Edelbrock’s Throttle Body utilizes an idle bleed screw to offer extra idle control in your 5.3L Silverado. Carefully make sure the gold-colored screw is turned clockwise until it bottoms in its bore. Then disable the Idle Air controller circuit and slowly adjust the idle screw until the vehicle idles at 500 RPMs.

Simple Installation Procedure. After the negative battery terminal is disconnected and the engine cooled, remove the stock throttle body and swap in the new throttle body to the manifold. Once all hoses and connector cables are reattached, reconnect the battery and start your engine. Check all connection, and for any possible leaks. The ECU may need time to recalibrate to the increased air flow.
