Hey, guys. It's Sara with americantrucks.com. And today we have a review and install of the Corsa Sport Dual Exhaust System with Black Tips fitting your 2019 5.3-liter Chevy Silverado 1500. This exhaust system delivers a loud and aggressive sound thanks to its straight-through muffler design giving you pronounced rumble at idle with no drone while cruising. This exhaust features three-inch 304 stainless steel construction with four-inch black polished slash cut tips. I'm gonna give this exhaust a four out of five on the loudness meter. This delivers that loud aggressive sound you're looking for on the outside of the truck but then on the inside while you're cruising, you can still hold a conversation. You do still hear the exhaust note but is not overpowering. So, personally, I think this is the best of both worlds. Coming in at around $1,300, this exhaust is on the higher end price-wise. But for your money, you are getting a full 304 stainless steel exhaust system that is going to improve both the look and the sound of your truck. I'm giving this install a two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. It can be done in approximately two hours and features a direct bolt-up installation. All right. With that said, let's jump right into our install. For this install, we used: an impact gun, an air ratchet, a deep 15-millimeter socket, a 13-millimeter socket, an exhaust hanger removal tool, and a small flathead screwdriver. All right. So, the first step of our uninstall is to remove the clamp right ahead of the flex pipe so we can detach our exhaust. Grab a 13-millimeter socket and let's get this off. Once our clamp is loosened, we can remove the hangers from the rubber isolator starting at the front of your truck. Grab this removal tool and press the hanger out of the rubber isolator. Repeat that process with the rest of the exhaust hangers. So, with our exhaust completely free from our truck, we're gonna move it backwards to clear the crossmember in the front and then forwards to come out of the truck. Once it's clear of the crossmember in the front, grab your exhaust and pull it forward to get it out of the truck. Now that we have our factory exhaust uninstalled from our truck, we can put it side by side with the Corsa and really check out some of the similarities and differences. Now, right off the bat, you may have noticed the biggest difference being the tips. Now, the factory tips has that unfinished appearance. The nice black stainless of the Corsa really dresses up the rear of your truck. Now, one thing I'd like to note here is that even though the Corsa's muffler is a little bit larger than the factory muffler, it features a straight-through design. So, you're still gonna get that nice low grumble you're looking for without any drone while cruising. All right. With that said, let's get this installed on our truck. We do have to do one quick step before we can install our Corsa exhaust and that is to transfer the clamp right in the front of our flex pipe onto our new exhaust. There's a small tab here, we're just gonna lift up on it and pull back on the clamp. Using a small flathead, pry up on the tab here. And you can wiggle the clamp loose. Now, we can transfer this clamp over to our new exhaust. We can now install our exhaust starting with the flex pipe section. Routing it up and over the crossmember, meet it with our factory exhaust and then install it into the rubber isolator. So, now we can install the muffler section. But before we do that, we do wanna place a clamp over this pipe. And we're gonna do that with the bolt side down to make it easier when we go to tighten it later. Grab your muffler section with the seam pointing up so the two small holes are on the bottom for draining. And you may wanna grab a jack or pole jack to help support this while you get these installed.Next up is our over axle pipe section. With our clamp already in place, let's route it over top of the axle and get it attached to our muffler. Once it's over top of the muffler section, install it in the rubber isolators. All right. At this point, we can install our tips. And don't forget to slide your clamp over the over axle pipe first. Adjust these into a position that you like them against your bumper. And now we can get our clamps tightened down. So, starting at the front of our exhaust, make sure it's aligned with the factory exhaust and we can start to tighten down our clamps. Grab a 13-millimeter socket and tighten this down. Moving on to our muffler section, make sure it's aligned to the flex pipe. Grab a 15-millimeter deep socket and tighten it down. Line up your over axle pipe with the muffler section and tighten it down. Make sure your tips are still aligned nicely with your bumper. And once you're sure they are, tighten this down. But that is gonna do it for the review and install of our Corsa exhaust. And remember for all things Chevy, keep it at americantrucks.com.

Best Exhaust
Has to be the best exhaust I’ve ever heard on the 5.3 sounded like a corvette on startup tame but aggressive when stepping on it

Corsa Performace Exhaust
Fast and easy install, the first hanger on the straight pipe did not line up and was off by about 8” which I had fixed within 15 minutes at a muffler shop. The sound is incredible, has a nice deep ramble but not obnoxiously loud. At cruise speeds it’s almost like stock but once you give it some gas you hear the roar. You can also feel nice little throttle increase in the horse power area.

Simple install. Good quality. A little loud on cold start if your close to your neighbors but not bad and quiets down fast. Sounds great driving with no drone. "Really makes my truck sound like a truck." -my wife.

Literally took 45 minutes to remove the old exhaust and install this Corsa Sport exhaust. After one year of ownership I can confidently say that this system adds so much power to the sound of your exhaust. Once you set the cruise control it is pretty much silent though and very nice for cruising and talking with the wife! I have owned Borla, MBRP, Flowmaster, Black Widow and Corsa just beats them when it comes to backing up their advertised sound level. This system is very aggressive when you have your foot on the gas. You'll hear it bounce off buildings and trees. But like I said, once you chill out and are just driving peacefully, it becomes nearly silent. AmericanTrucks sent me this system in like 4 days and it was in perfect shape with all the hardware and clamps necessary for a quick install. Happy to have it and can't wait to pair it with long tube headers in the future! I'll give you a tip: Some people feel the need to cut the stock catback off where it goes over the rear axle. You don't need to do that. All I had to do was get a jack under the frame of the truck and lift as high as i could while letting pressure off the jack under the axle and the exhaust was able to be twisted and slid out without cutting. This helps you in the future if you wanna go back to stock to sell the truck!

Easy enough- Sounds great!
Sounds great compared to stock. Install is straightforward. Highly recommend buying an extra band clamp, hanger remover tool, and unless you’re using a lift, something to cut the old exhaust off.

Nice exhaust
Love the exhaust fits great and sounds great. The only complaint is that the 304 stainless isn’t the highest quality I can stick my magnet screwdriver to it.

Easy install, not too loud
This system was easy to install. Be sure to order a new clamp (for the cat). Sounds great, nice low rumble. Cruising at 55 it can barely be heard in the cab, but when you step on it you can hear all 5.3 liters cranking. (Installed on a 2016 with AFM turned off so I can’t speak to 4 cylinder drone)
