Hey guys, I'm Alex from americanmuscle.com, and today I'm bringing you my quick review and breakdown of the Bushwacker Pocket Style fender flares in matte black, fitting your 2015 through current F-150. So in this video, I'm gonna give a quick overview on who this kit might appeal to, the construction and materials that went into these fender flares, what you should expect to be spending, and then we're gonna take a very quick look at what's entailed to get these installed on your F-150 where I'm gonna be giving these a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter and about an hour's worth of labor, and I'll have a little bit more for you on that later. So the Bushwacker Pocket Style fender flares that I have here today should definitely appeal to any 2015 or newer F-150 owner that's not only looking to accentuate the sides of their truck and make it look a little bit more aggressive, but to protect your investment from anything that you might find coming across the trails or your daily commute, as they're gonna add a good layer of protection for the sides of your vehicle. So not only are these gonna give the sides of your truck a little bit of added protection, but if you're the truck owner that's running a small leveling kit or maybe a lift kit, these are gonna make your truck look that much more aggressive as you're gonna be adding about two inches worth of wheel clearance here which again is gonna make you look that much more muscular on the streets in comparison to the other F-150s on the road. So in terms of the construction and materials here, guys, we're gonna see that this U.S. designed and built kit is gonna be predominantly manufactured out of a proprietary Duraflex 2000 series plastic type material that's then gonna be finished off in a matte black finish, which is not only gonna be for good and aggressive looks, but to ensure that these are gonna hold up over time in regards to any type of exposure to the elements or anything that you might come across on the trails. Additionally, we're gonna see that these are also going to be 100% UV protected, so you can rest easy knowing that these are not going to flex or fade over time like you might find with an inferior type of material. Now one last thing I think is a really cool feature that might appeal to some guys out there, may not to others, is that this is going to come with some faux rivets which are gonna go around the periphery of the flare themself, and they're gonna be made out of some pretty heavy-duty hardware, so you're not gonna have to worry about them rusting as well. Now depending on your personal taste and how you're looking to accessorize your truck, if matte black isn't really something that you like, there's gonna be a ton of different finishes out there and that could range from the smooth to a texture. But at the end of the day, if you did wanna have these color matched and painted to your truck, they absolutely can be done by any local body shop. So in terms of the pricing here, guys, you should expect to be spending about 500 bucks for this kit, which I'll be honest, is a little bit on the higher side for a set of fender flares, but you need to take into consideration that this is a Bushwacker product which is designed and manufactured right here in the U.S., which essentially means that you're gonna be getting some of the best materials out there as well as craftsmanship, and this is definitely evident throughout their entire line. So switching gears to the installation portion of the video, just like I had said up top, you're gonna be looking at a very straightforward one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter and about an hour's worth of wrenching to get these on to your truck. Now the easy installation for a brand new truck owner should definitely be a huge selling point as there's really no reason why you or myself would want to drill, modify, or cut up your brand new vehicle. And these are going to install with the provided hardware from Bushwacker and a little bit of elbow grease. So before you even get these on to your truck, you're gonna wanna start by assembling the weather stripping or the piping on the underside of the flares themselves. Assemble all of your rivets and then take them over to the truck where you're essentially gonna be using the provided hardware to secure these on to your F-150. Now, while it's not completely necessary to have a second set of hands around, it's always a good idea just to have them there to ensure that you're gonna have these in place before everything's tightened down. All right guys, just to wrap things up here are some final thoughts. If you're the 2015 or newer F-150 owner and you're looking to not only give your truck some really aggressive looks to make it stand out from the pack but to protect the sides of your investment from anything you might come across be it on or off-road, I would definitely suggest checking out this kit for your truck. So that's my quick review and breakdown of the Bushwacker Pocket Style fender flares in matte black, fitting your 2015 through current F-150 available right here at americanmuscle.com.

Final fit looked good, came with wrong rubber gaskets

I've had Bushwacker flares before (Jeep), so I decided to pay the extra $$ and go with them for my F-150. Ran into a few snags. They packaged the wrong size rubber trim, so I had to wait an additional week to install them. Also, for some side step installations, you may need to do some significant trimming on the back lower portion of the front flares, as they may not fit with certain side steps. Once on, they fit very good, and look nice. I wish they were a bit more textured, they seem to be more slick than other brands I looked at, and look like they might be more susceptible to scratches.

      Nice Flares

Very nice aftermarket flares. Had them painted to match since Lightning Blue isn't a pre-painted color yet. That whole experience was another story. Directions on a few things could be a bit more clearer though. Was able to install by myself except for a few places where help was needed. Basic knowledge and tools were needed. Would have given 5 stars, but not being available in my color pre-painted and directions being a bit cryptic on a few things warranted only 4. Very nice flares though. Look fantastic.

      Matte black fender flares

First time application, so install time took longer than expected. It was more the prep time than actual install that took time. They look great... first time install went well, but the front ones (at the arch closest to the door) don’t seat flush to the body. And it’s very little; less than 1/8”. Saw another F-150 with said “professional install,” and noticed the three top screws to the bracket were not utilized. ? Gonna try removing those screws and see if the back side arch sits tight to the fender.

They look good once they're on.

Good product, I'm just a little disappointed at how much assembly was still required for $500

      Love the Fenders!!!

The Bushwacker Fenders gave my truck a more aggressive looking style. Easy installation! Well made for being plastic, but a bit overpriced for plastic if you ask me. Just the same, I bought them and really like the look!!!!
