      Description

This cold air intake system uses a cold air dam to replace your factory air box. This upgrade blocks engine heat more effectively, and adds a bigger intake tube to get cooler air. Make your Silverado literally cooler, and enjoy improved torque and horsepower as well.

      Computer Tune No More. You don’t need to tune this cold air intake system, since it has already gone tuning to extract additional performance. Just install to your ride, step on the gas, and go on your off-road travels.

      Longer Lasting Air Filter. This 360-degree conical Airaid SynthaMax Dry Filter is washable and reusable, and offers a less restrictive filtration than traditional paper. This results in superior air filtering -- the kind that only Airaid can provide. This oil-free synthetic air filter is made from high-flow 8-layer cotton gauze, and can last for 30,000 to 50,000 miles of usage before it has to be washed and cleaned. 

      High-Quality Build. The Airaid Cold Air Intake System uses mandrel-formed crosslink high-density polyethylene inlet tubing that increases durability. This inlet tube is powder-coated in the inside and outside in red for better protection from the elements, improved air flow, and enhanced aesthetic quality.

      Cold Air Dam Panels. The Airaid Cold Air Dam is mounted in the factory air box location, and is compatible with any factory cold air inlet duct. It features panels that assist in delivering steady, free-flowing cooler outside air into the engine. Not only that, these efficient panels protect the air filter by closing off the underside of the engine using blade-style weather stripping to block hot air.

      Stress-Free Installation. Installing the Airaid Air Intake System is fairly simple. It can be done in about half an hour using only basic hand tools. Since it is specifically designed for your 2006 Silverado, it will easily slide right into the designated space. No drilling, cutting or welding is required for this installation.
