Improved Air Flow. Enhance the airflow performance of your Silverado 1500 with the Airaid Cold Air Dam Intake with Black SynthaMax Dry Filter. This cold air intake system features a cold air dam that replaces your stock air box to block engine heat more effectively. It also comes with a bigger intake tube to produce cooler air. Upgrade your ride with the Airaid Cold Air Dam Intake and enjoy more horsepower and torque all the time.
Tuning Not Required. Tuning is not needed when you replace your factory airbox with this Airaid cold air intake system. Aside from being computer-designed and dyno-tested, it has also already been tuned for additional performance.
Washable and Reusable Filter. Manufactured from high-flow 8-layer cotton gauze, the air filter in the Airaid system provides maximum filtration, greater than what you would get from traditional paper construction. It is designed with a 360-degree conical shape, and can filter air for about 30,000 to 50,000 miles of road use without any cleaning.
Heavy-Duty Build. The mandrel-formed inlet tubing of this Airaid Cold Air Intake System is manufactured using high-density polyethylene for added durability and toughness. It comes with a black powder coating inside and outside for better flow and corrosion prevention.
Highly-Functional Cold Air Dam Panels. The panels on this cold air dam assist in the supply of steady, free-flowing cooler outside air into the engine. These cold air dam panels also protect the air filter from hot engine air by closing off the underside of the hood using blade-style weather stripping. They are mounted on the factory air box location and are compatible with any factory cold air inlet duct.
Hassle-Free Installation. You can install the Airaid Air Intake System using only simple hand tools. Since it is custom-designed specifically for your 2006 Silverado, it will easily slide right in. It takes about 30 minutes to complete the install, and no drilling, cutting or welding is required.
