Enhanced Air Flow. Boost your engine’s performance with the Airaid Cold Air Dam Intake with Black SynthaMax Dry Filter. This washable, reusable air filter replaces your factory air box with a cold air dam that blocks engine heat more effectively and adds a bigger intake tube to get cooler air. Upgrade to this reliable dry filter kit and enhance the horsepower and torque of your Silverado.
No More Tuning. This Airaid Intake System is computer-designed, dyno-tested and has already been tuned to extract additional performance. Simply install, step on the gas, and go on your off-road adventures.
Easy-To-Clean Filter. This SynthaMax dry filter features a high-flow 8-layer cotton gauze construction that is less restrictive than traditional paper, ensuring superior filtration. This washable and reusable air filter is designed with a 360-degree conical shape, and can last for 30,000 to 50,000 miles of normal driving before it has to be cleaned.
Designed to Last. The Airaid’s mandrel-formed inlet tubing is manufactured using high-density polyethylene for longer-lasting performance and durability. It is powder coated inside and out in Black, for greater flow and protection against harsh outdoor conditions while making your engine look good as well.
Air Filter Protection. The Airaid Cold Air Dam features panels that assist in supplying steady, free-flowing cooler outside air into the engine. It is engineered to be easily mounted in the factory air box location, and is compatible with any factory cold air inlet duct. Not only that, these cold air dam panels protect the air filter from the hot engine compartment air by sealing the underside of the hood with blade-style weather stripping.
Simple Installation. The Airaid Air Intake System can be installed in 30 minutes with your basic hand tools. It is custom-designed specific to your 2006 Silverado, so it will easily nestle in just right. No drilling, cutting or fabrication is needed to complete the install.
