Upgrading to this air intake system will improve your truck's overall airflow by 70% and boosts your horsepower and torque gains. Its high-quality plastic intake tube is dyno-tuned and roto-molded to achieve the maximum performance of your ride. It also includes a powder-coated one-piece heat shield that helps cool down your truck from the performance-robbing engine heat. No Tune Required. Unlike other air intake systems, this product does not require you to custom-tune your Ford's computer upon installation. You only have to bolt the product parts to your truck with the use of a wrench and a couple of nut drivers. But if you want to get the best performance out of this product, American Muscle recommends having your Ford's computer to be re-programmed.
Pro Guard 7 Air Filter. This air intake system uses a Pro Guard 7 air filter that is 5.75 in. tall and has a conical shape. It also comes with a 5.5 in. flange opening allowing a better airflow. It also features 5 progressive layers of cotton gauze media plus 2 progressive layers of synthetic media for maximum filtration.
Durable and Quality Construction. This product's filtering power is made possible with its durable and quality construction. Easy install. Definitely gave my 22 RAM 1500 a more beefy engine sound. Especially after installing AWE 0FG exhaust system with it. Sounds Amazing. Love every second of driving it.

Has a completely different sound than what I normally here from trucks. Slight rumble, a slight whistle, and a slight sound of air release.

Happy after installation
I had every intention of leaving a bad review just because installation kinda sucks. Doesn't take very long but the way the top of the air box goes on is poorly designed. Tabs on rear side hit factory wire harness and make it frustrating to install. Not to mention I had to bend the angled plate below the filter just to make the filter fit on the lip of the tubing. BUT...after driving a few times it put a smile on my face. I had removed the intake turbo "silencers" for more noise long before this so I didn't anticipate any more turbo noise but there is definitely more turbo spool sound along with CAI sound. Might be a little more responsive and better mpg.

Worth the money
Noticeable difference in daily driving performance, also adds a good sound with the airflow through the filter. Only downside is with the 6.2 you get more noise and vibration back through the intake without the factory assembly on there. Still highly recommend, also recommend the AFE spacer with it, fits better.

Finally I can hear those turbos working and hear some real noise when I hit the gas. Install was super easy, maybe about an hour at the most. No check engine light, complications or anything. Definitely happy with my purchase.
