Excited to try out this high flow air filter. Looks good out of the box. The rubber lip on the air filter makes putting the air box cover back on a little challenging ( thicker than stock). No biggie. I put the filter in right before a 1000 mile trip. I was disappointed to drop from 15mpg to 14.6mpg with highway driving. Was assuming/expecting that the mpg would go up.

Great filter these newer gm trucks hate the oiled filters. The dry filter is the way to go.

Truck breathe better

I feel like my truck breathe better. I’m averaging 21 mpg on my 2.7 Silverado. I like that fact you can clean and reuse the air filter. Highly recommend

I prefer a dry filter over an oil one. Gets pretty dusty around summer time in Central Texas. Noticed a slight chance in sound with engine. Did give my aftermarket exhaust a little more deeper sound. Easy install and easy to clean.

Fits like the OEM

Right out of the box the filter looked better manufactured than the other aftermarket filters I've purchased. Had another aftermarket oiled filter and didn't like it, coated the MAF censor with a film . So when I swapped it out to the new AFE Dry filter, I cleaned the MAS . Truck seemed to idle better. Too early to tell like others have said about getting better mpg , No noticeable performance gain like others have posted either, but I didn't buy the AFE Dry filter for that reason , I wanted to get away from the oiled filter.
