Backpressure can create some big problems for your truck, but our 2007 to 2013 Sierra oil separators are designed to help. Without any in place, oil vapor travels from the crankcase, into the air intake system, hurting performance and causing damage. As the oil vapor condenses in the engine intake manifold, it works to cut down on the fuel octane, which in turn hurts performance and efficiency. The oil vapor might also condense and stick to the spark plugs and valves, hampering the combustion process. While this certainly is a problem with your average Sierra, it becomes even more of an issue if you have installed an aftermarket supercharger to boost performance. With an oil separator, you can have a solution in a short amount of time, and with minimal tools. You install the part in line with the PCV hose, filtering out most oil vapor from the air. If what you want is the guaranteed removal of all oil vapor from the air, installing two oil separators is the solution. Because we offer oil separators made of high quality materials, which are designed to truly filter oil vapor from the air, the benefits of this upgrade are very much real. Not only can the upgrade help you stop for fuel less often, it can result in more horsepower and torque on tap, and maybe even help the engine last longer. What's more, the separators we offer can be removed easily, enabling you to clean them out regularly without going through an extensive process.
